How to get to Mataró and Tecnocampus from the airport
There are different options to to arrive in Mataró from Barcelona airport.
Trains in Spain are a cheap, clean and safe means to get around. You'll also notice that trains generally run on time, but be careful because sometimes they leave a minute or two before schedule! Smoking is strictly prohibited in the trains.
There are excellent train connections between Barcelona city and Mataró. Trains leave every 8-10 minutes throughout the day (6 am to 11 pm)
From the airport, you have two cheap ways to get to Mataró:
Take the airport bus (Aerobus) and get off in Plaça Catalunya (last stop). There, in Plaça Catalunya, go to train station and take a train to Mataró (line R1). It takes about 40 minutes.
Take the airport train to Sants train station. There you take a second train to Mataró (line R1). It takes about 45 minutes.
There are trains ending in Mataró train station, but you can also take other trains direction to Blanes and Maçanet-Massana (line R1). All of them stop at Mataró.
Train tickets are pretty cheap: 3.7 euros (one way).
There are also buses from Barcelona centre to Mataró (Casas company), and vice versa, with a frequency of 30 minutes.
From Barcelona, take the motorway C-32 (in some maps it’s still called the former A-19) in the direction to Mataró/Girona. Leave the motorway at the exit 95 “Mataró Sud” (about 25 minutes from Barcelona). On leaving the motorway you will come to a large roundabout with a huge metal sculpture in the middle, where you will have to take the 2nd exit. Once you leave the roundabout, you will see TCM is just across the road.
Take the airport bus (aerobus) and get off at Plaça Catalunya (last stop). You can take this bus in both terminals, T1 and T2. It’s a very frequent service (a bus every 5 minutes), and the ticket price is around 6 eur. Close to Plaça Catalunya, go to Ronda Unversitat 21 (2 minutes walking, 170 meters according to google maps) and take the “Casas” bus number C1 (costs around 3'80 EUR).
In this case you have to get off just in front of the NH Hotel. This is the bus timetable: http://www.grupsarbus.com/PDFs/C1_2.pdf
(basically it says that you have one bus each 30 minutes, departing at five minutes past hour, and 35 minutes past hour)
