The Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences of the TecnoCampus Higher School of Health Sciences have, in 2018, been awarded the favorable accreditation by the Agency for the Quality of the University system of Catalonia (AQU). Accreditation is the verification, from an external visit, that the degree is being developed as planned in the verification.

The Degree in Science of Physical Activity and Sport (CAFE) of the Higher School of Health Sciences of TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme (ESCST), responds to the analysis of a new territorial proposal framed under criteria of academic excellence, research and University entrepreneurship.
 
The degree in CAFD to ESCST is awarded by Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), and it is a degree with numerous advantages.

    TecnoCampus belongs to the University Entrepreneurship Network.  The training of students of the Degree in CAFE is carried out under a constant perspective of entrepreneurship, being a reference in the use of ICT applied to health and well-being, and seeking synergies with the other studies that form part, such as the Degree of Nursing, the Degree in Business Administration and Innovation Management, the Degree in Tourism and Leisure Management, or the same double degree in Physiotherapy and CAFE.

Objectives

The generic objectives for the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences are:

The Bachelor Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences is designed for students interested in teaching physical education and sport, sports training and performance, managing and planning sports activities, organizing leisure and recreational activities for people’s free time, and nautical activities.You can check this link about the access pathways.

Students must have:

  • Basic knowledge of biology, physics, mathematics, natural sciences, geography, psychology and sociology.
  • The physical condition to take part in regular and fairly intensive physical activity and sport, and proven ability in swimming and/or water sports.
  • The ability to embrace an interdisciplinary approach, autonomy, social and environmental awareness and a desire to learn, apply and convey positive values in the organization and practice of physical activities and sport.
  • Knowledge of new technologies and languages.
  • A constant and growing interest in the area of physical activity and sport.

The Bachelor Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences can be accessed by students who have completed all formats of the High School Baccalaureate and Advanced Training Programs.
