Description

The subject THEORY AND PRACTICE OF TRAINING exposes the theoretical and practical foundations on which the student will build his professional practice in relation to the content of the subject.

Theoretical aspects necessary to understand the new trends in training in the field of physiotherapy are addressed. Certain aspects are contributions from the field of sports, which must be adapted and updated, along with new concepts and taking advantage of new technologies. The area of knowledge of this subject is constantly changing thanks to the contributions that research makes and will certainly make in the near future. The practical sessions have the mission of working on important theoretical concepts and ensuring their integration.

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

Learning outcomes

  • It applies, based on the knowledge of the changes and adaptations that occur due to the variation of age, gender and environmental stress.
  •  They understand substantial problems in the sciences of physical activity and sport and propose hypotheses to design the empirical strategy for their theoretical demonstration, which would lead to the best resolution of the identified problems.
  • It incorporates new technologies for obtaining records and processing information and images into physical activity and sport: it formulates projects that integrate the various operations.
  • Uses specific English terminology related to technology, information and statistics applied to physical activity and sport: data tables, graphs, diagrams, procedures, protocols ...
  • It applies, based on knowledge, the behavioral principles in the context of education, recreation, physical activity and health and sports training.
  • Performs the analysis of specific behaviors in the various contexts of professional intervention.
  • Acquire criteria, skills and technological knowledge to develop the teaching-learning processes related to analytical and functional weight training exercises in the field of health, fitness and physical activity.

Learning activities

The activities of the subject follow the system of continuous evaluation, that is to say, that throughout the term the teacher proposes several activities, that the

students must resolve and deliver. The work of each one of the activities allows to value to the student, the follow-up that does to the asignatura and the elements of

improvement, based on the comments and notes that the teacher will make about the activities. For this purpose, expository classes will be used based on the explanation of the teacher, practices carried out in specific classrooms to deepen in the concepts explained in class, face-to-face tutorials in group or individual, individual works and presentation of subjects by the students.

The proposed activities can be individual or in work groups. The teacher gives the instructions so that the students can elaborate them and

deliver. All the activities that are proposed are designed so that students have a practical perspective on the topics that are developed over the long term.

of the ten weeks of the quarter.
