Do you want to organize a university activity?

University activities are those that promote student participation in the following areas:

  • Culture
  • Export
  • Participation (Associative fabric and student representation)
  • Social commitment, volunteering and solidarity

In addition, undergraduate students may receive credit for these activities by proving their participation.

Who can organize activities?
  • University Community Care Unit (UACU)
  • Academic Coordination Units
  • Student Associations and Committees registered at TecnoCampus
  • TecnoCampus services or units
  • TecnoCampus teachers (PDI)*
  • Students endorsed by a PDI or person representing other institutions with an agreement
  • Other institutions, with prior agreement

*The activities cannot be linked to subjects, they cannot be part of the teaching plan of a subject. 

The deadline for submission of proposals

The deadline for submission of proposals is until September 30 for the activities offered throughout the course, and another call will be opened during the first week of February for new proposals for the 3rd term of the course. Exceptionally, late proposals will be evaluated under the competent authorization.

Directory of university activities with recognition of RAC Credits

The university centre of  TecnoCampus offers the student community for each academic year a set of activities that can be incorporated into the academic record and be recognized as university participation activities.

The range of activities for the 2022-23 academic year is updated throughout the academic year.

University activity credits are a modality of degree studies for the recognition of the student's participation in the following activities:

Student representation: 

  • Coordinator and secretary of the Student Council (3 ECTS)
  • Coordinator of a committee of the Student Council (2 ECTS)
  • Member of the Student Council Commission (1 ECTS)
  • Representation of a registered association (2 ECTS)
  • Student chosen by the full body of delegates (3 ECTS)
  • Delegates and sub-delegates (1 ECTS)

Associations and commissions:

  • Buddy Program (1-2 ECTS)
  • Cultural and Festivities Association (1-2 ECTS)
  • Colla Castellera dels Passerells del TecnoCampus (1-2 ECTS)
  • Analog Resistance (1-2 ECTS)
  • Theater and Dance Classroom (1-2 ECTS)
  • Music Classroom - University Choir (1-2 ECTS)

Procedures for requesting recognition of RAC Credits

These recognitions can be requested at any time during the studies, once the activity has been completed and as long as during the activity the relevant documents have been developed to validate the participation of the applicant for credit recognition.

They can be incorporated up to a maximum of 6 elective credits throughout the course and those studies that are not double degrees.

The request for credit recognition of university activities must be accompanied by the documentation that accredits its completion and, in the case of projects  presented at the initiative of the students or by participating in a report in which there is a summary of the activity carried out by the student, the results achieved and the hours spent, together with an endorsement from the person responsible for the project.

Consult beforehand the procedure specified in the catalog of approved Rac credits for the corresponding course.

Tell the person in charge of the activity that you want to process the recognition of Crèdits RAC.

If it is a UACU activity:

  1.  Present the report: You must submit the activity report to the UACU by email
  2.  Process activation validation email: Wait for the e-mail from the project manager to inform you that the application is suitable and you can continue with the procedure.
  3. Do the procedure by e-secretary: Make the request for recognition of Crèdits RAC through the e-secretariat when the person in charge indicates it by e-mail or through another established channel.

El deadline for submission of applications is from the beginning of the academic year until May 31 of the same course. Applications submitted after the established date will be included in the following academic year.

  • Requests for recognition of RAC Credits for activities carried out in previous courses will not be accepted, therefore, it is recommended to make requests during the current year.
  • Hours of dedication from different courses cannot be accumulated.

What do I need to know if I want to organize a university activity?

  • The activities must have a content of instrumental character and be oriented towards the acquisition of skills through experiences. In no case can they be promoted as activities, activities with academic content of subjects that are part of the official study plans.
  • The activities must be open, of general interest and tending to transversality.
  • The activities must have a training component and establish mechanisms of effective and practical participation of the student
  • The activities must be endorsed by a report from theperformance of the assistance in all those cases susceptible to be realized, therefore, they must guarantee that an hourly check of effective participation can be made.
  • Activities are valued positively if they include a evaluation system, which confirms the student's achievement of the corresponding skills, in terms of passing or failing the activity, but without a grade.

EVALUATION OF THE PROPOSALS

The activities are approved twice a year (November/December and April/May). Always within sight. Exceptionally, late proposals will be evaluated under the competent authorization.

APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSAL

All university activities must be authorized by the TecnoCampus university centre in charge of the direction of university projects, participation and accompaniment of students, who will issue a certificate / Resolution. The UACU will then notify the person in charge of the submitted project of the decision.

  • The activities must be organized and endorsed by the TecnoCampus university centre. Extracurricular activities, independent of the university's programming, are not subject to recognition of credits.
  • The activities must have a content of instrumental character and be oriented towards the acquisition of skills through experiences. In no case may the activities with academic content of subjects that are part of the official study plans be subject to recognition. 
  • The activities must be open, of general interest and tending to transversality.
  • The activities must have a training component and establish mechanisms of effective and practical participation of the student It is not possible to access credits just for attending an activity.
  • The activities must be endorsed by a report from thefulfillment of the assistance, therefore, they must guarantee that an hourly check of effective participation can be made.
  • The activities must include a evaluation system, which confirms the student's achievement of the corresponding skills, in terms of passing or failing the activity, but without a grade.

APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSAL

All university activities with recognition of credits must be authorized by the vice-chancellor of Pompeu Fabra University in charge of the management of projects of reception, participation and accompaniment of students, who will issue a certificate. Then the university community service unit will notify the person in charge of the presented project of the resolution.
