TecnoCampus Senior is an initiative that aims to promote lifelong learning which allows those over 55, with or without previous academic qualifications, to join the university and have a space for training, participation  and intergenerational coexistence.

The program consists of more than 50 subjects organised into terms where the participants will share a classroom with undergraduate students and will be able to participate in the different activities organised by the University throughout the academic year.

Below you can see the different subjects within those areas of knowledge that TecnoCampus is expert at and those which have an open enrolment period.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

Requirements: Be over 55 years old.

Hours: Details are specified in the subject file.

Forms of training: The classes can be in different modalities: face-to-face and/or semi-face-to-face.

What degree requirements do I need to complete the studies? No previous knowledge is needed, only interest and desire to learn.

What are the subjects based on? The TecnoCampus Senior student is fully integrated into the class group and does group work with the rest of the students. This is one of the strong points of the project, the generational exchange.

How long is each course? Training hours are measured by credits (ECTS). 1 ECTS is equivalent to 10 hours of contact with the teacher and 25 hours of student dedication. The subjects are organized by terms and have a duration of between 3 ECTS and 10 ECTS.

What is a term? The TecnoCampus divides its academic activity into three periods (usually from September to December, from January to March and from April to June) with an approximate duration of 10 weeks per term.

At the end of the course, which certificate do I get? A certificate of achievement in the subject linked to the Degree, awarded by TecnoCampus, campus attached to Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).

Will I be able to participate in group work? Yes. The aim is integration into the dynamics of the classroom so that there is a generational exchange, but this work by the student of the Senior TecnoCampus program will not be evaluated.

Will I have access to virtual classrooms? Yes, we provide access to the virtual training campus. Throughout the course, the experts will publish materials, content and tools that will help the student get the most out of this training.

Would it be possible to do a training with an itinerary perspective? As you can enroll in several subjects in several quarters and from several areas of knowledge, you will be able to select the subjects that best fit your training plan.

Once the training has started, can I change subjects? No, once the payment has been made and the term has started, you cannot access a subject that has already started.

Could the subject be validated if I later wanted to do a Degree? No, because there is no assessment.

Are there exams at the end of the subject? No. Students of the TecnoCampus Senior program will be exempt from the assessment. There will be no final grade. Despite this situation, if you want to be evaluated, you must discuss it directly with the teacher at the beginning of the course.

How can I enrol? By accessing each subject, the registration button appears and from there you can process and pay the registration fee.

Can I get help to do this process? Yes, we have an individualized support service to help or support the enrollment process. If you want to receive this service, you can send us an email to formation@tecnocampus.cat or call us on 93 702 19 59 and we will make an appointment to register.
