What are you looking for?
The first edition of the Antena TrenLab Awards was born in 2022 as part of the collaboration between Renfe, Mataró City Council and the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation to promote territorial innovation in the field of sustainable mobility, linked to the railway sector.
Each year, 3 entrepreneurial projects will be chosen to enter the 6-month acceleration program, which includes the possibility of testing the solution in the Mataró-Maresme region. You can see the winners of the last editions and the details of the program. here.
With a global endowment of €75.000, four annual awards will be offered to entrepreneurial projects that provide ideas and solutions to improve mobility, especially at the local level.
The selected projects will be innovative, technological, and sustainable proposals of new mobility services or those which have a positive impact on existing ones, including the transportation of both passengers and goods.
All the awards are designed to address operational and current challenges of Renfe and Rodalies de Catalunya.

Innovative technological solutions and materials are sought that promote more sustainable mobility throughout the user's journey: from leaving home until arriving at their destination. The aim is to evolve towards a system that reduces environmental impact, improves the quality of the environment for the user and encourages the reuse of resources, especially involving the local business fabric of Maresme.
Goals:
Improve environmental conditions in stations and trains by promoting circular economy models through the reuse and valorization of materials such as textiles or plastics. Likewise, the aim is to reduce waste generation by optimizing its management with efficient and intelligent systems, and incorporate innovative materials with low ecological impact throughout the user's journey.

Technological solutions are sought that allow the experience on board the train to be improved, focusing on space management and coexistence between users. The aim is to evolve the train into a multifunctional and accessible environment, capable of responding to different traveler profiles and contexts of use.
Goals:
Adapt the space of the carriage flexibly for work, rest or family uses, optimizing comfort, connectivity and environmental conditions of noise or lighting. It also seeks to reduce conflicts between passengers through space segmentation and occupancy control, connecting the on-board experience with the journey environment.

Technological solutions are sought that promote accessible and inclusive mobility for everyone, regardless of the person's situation, condition or abilities. The goal is to design a railway experience that eliminates barriers of all kinds, allowing any user to understand, anticipate and use the system with autonomy, safety and confidence.
Goals:
Reduce barriers to understanding, orientation and use of the system, simplifying processes such as purchasing tickets, interpreting signage and accessing real-time information. Facilitate navigation within stations and trains, helping users understand what to do at each moment of the journey and simplifying access and preferred spaces. Reduce situations of stress or overstimulation, through solutions that improve the sensory environment (noise, lighting, information saturation) and make the experience more predictable and controllable.
We organize a series of information days to resolve possible queries about the call and the associated acceleration program.
Project
Any SME or Micro-SME with an innovative, technological, and sustainable project that has a minimum viable product and meets the challenges described
Acceleration programme
Winners will make the commitment to attend the Acceleration Programme. It will be face-to-face at the Antena TrenLab centre in Mataró (Barcelona)
Area of influence
Winners will have the predisposition to test their solution mainly in Mataró and its area of influence
Yes, as long as the head office or subsidiary is in Spain, you can participate in the acceleration program at the Antena TrenLab headquarters and you are willing to develop your solution mainly in Mataró and its area of influence.
During the 6 month programme, we will try to concentrate all face-to-face sessions within the same week each month.
For all awards you need a degree of maturity of the technological solution and have a proof of concept (TRL level 3 minimum).
