What are you looking for?
The first edition of the Antena TrenLab Awards was born in 2022 as part of the collaboration between Renfe, Mataró City Council and the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation to promote territorial innovation in the field of sustainable mobility, linked to the railway sector.
Each year, 3 entrepreneurial projects will be chosen to enter the 6-month acceleration program, which includes the possibility of testing the solution in the Mataró-Maresme region. You can see the winners of the last editions and the details of the program. here.
With a global endowment of €75.000, four annual awards will be offered to entrepreneurial projects that provide ideas and solutions to improve mobility, especially at the local level.
The selected projects will be innovative, technological, and sustainable proposals of new mobility services or those which have a positive impact on existing ones, including the transportation of both passengers and goods.
All the awards are designed to address operational and current challenges of Renfe and Rodalies de Catalunya.

The train must be a space that ensures not only physical safety, but also the comprehensive health of people. For this reason, we are looking for innovative solutions that allow us to create a healthier, more sustainable railway environment that helps reduce the CO2 footprint.
Goals:
Incorporate sustainable and circular materials into the design of commuter cars, including recycled or biodegradable materials. Circular economy proposals for the reuse of garments and textiles, including sustainable coatings to improve health and reduce maintenance, can be included.

We are looking for innovative solutions that transform the user experience on each trip, making the journey more convenient and comfortable. We are looking for proposals that help us redesign spaces, personalizing them and adapting them to the moment of the trip.
Goals:
Flexible design of commuter trains. Currently, the interior design of trains is fixed, not adapting to fluctuations in demand or to different user profiles. The aim is to create spaces that can be transformed according to the time of day, influx or specific needs, with folding or modular seats, areas for working or carrying bicycles, which are activated during off-peak hours, with occupancy sensors and automatic reconfiguration, and with intelligent air conditioning and lighting systems that improve comfort.

We launch this challenge with the aim of incorporating technological solutions that improve digital accessibility in mobility services, promoting the autonomy of the elderly, including friendly technologies.
Goal:
Promote digital accessibility and usability for all people, especially non-digital natives, through the development of applications in smart kiosks that facilitate from minute one the purchase of a ticket, moving around the city and other functionalities, through mixed, augmented, extended reality systems, and conversational assistants.
We organize a series of information days to resolve possible queries about the call and the associated acceleration program.
