The Healthy Campus is a transversal project of the Tecnocampus, promoted in 2016 by the School of Health Sciences (ESCS) of the Tecnocampus Mataró-Maresme (UPF) that aims to promote the health of the university community through the design, development and evaluation of strategies that promote healthy habits within the university community (students and staff).
The initiatives are based on intersectorality, empowerment and participation, equity, a holistic view of health, as well as the viability and sustainability of the proposed strategies. From 2019 the Sustainable perspective was added to the project Healthy Campus.
In thescope organizational, this project is led by a transversal team of PDI and is organized as follows:
The new strategic plan Healthy and Sustainable Campus 2019-2022 it contemplates 3 axes, 6 strategic lines and 40 actions. The elaboration of this new plan is based on the assessment made of the previous plan (2015-2018) which has served as a starting point for redesigning the new actions.
The main novelty with respect to the previous plan (2015-2018) is the integration of sustainability criteria and the perspective of equality in all actions of Healthy and Sustainable Campus.
The main axes and strategic lines of action of Healthy and Sustainable Campus are:
L1. Physical activity
Encourage an active lifestyle in classrooms, offices and offices.
Encourage healthy eating.
L3. Health and Emotional Wellness
Encourage well-being at study and work and prevent risky behaviors.
Foster a culture and responsible consumption.
Evaluate the real impact of Healthy Campus actions.
Promote effective communication of Healthy Campus actions.
El new plan is framed and based in the following health criteria and objectives dictated by the following national and global health organizations:
Alba Pardo Fernández, PhD
PhD in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFE). Expert in health promotion and healthy lifestyle. Researcher in the evaluation of the lifestyle of the university community. PDI of the Escuela Superior de Ciencias de la Salud in the area of health promotion and physical activity.
Helena M Hernández-Pizarro, PhD
PhD in Economics, specializing in public economics and health. Expert in evaluating health interventions. Permanent teaching and research staff at the School of Social and Business Sciences in the areas of marketing and research methodology.
Anna Castells Molina
Professor of the School of Health Sciences of the Tecnocampus, she teaches the degrees of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport (CAFE) and the Double degree Physiotherapy-CAFE. His specialty is the theory and practice of motor play, acrobatics and didactic aspects.
Anaïs Arderiu i Ruiz
Professional in the marketing, public relations and advertising sector, associate professor at the School of Social and Business Sciences in the marketing area of the TecnoCampus and external communication consultant for the Healthy Campus committee.
Elena Mas Carbonell
Third-year student with a double degree in Business Administration and Marketing and Digital Communities. She currently works as a fellow supporting the coordination and management of Healthy Campus, as well as the management of communication, marketing and social media.
