The Degree in Business Administration and Innovation Management (teaching in English) of the Higher School of Social Sciences and the TecnoCampus Company has obtained in 2016 the favorable accreditation by the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia (AQU). Accreditation is the verification, from an external visit, that the degree is developing as planned for verification.

With this recognition, the school's titles guarantee the quality of teaching in accordance with the standard set by the agency for all universities.

The studies are divided into three quarters spread over four years and include basic (64 ECTS) and compulsory subjects (128 ECTS), elective courses (20 ECTS), internships (14 ECTS) and final project (14 ECTS)

The basic and compulsory subjects are grouped into five major groups of subjects:

A. English for Business
B. Innovation Management
C. Business management and organization
D. General and Applied Economics
E. Accounting and Financial Management

The elective courses are offered by two subjects which will be developed in courses of five credits. Students may freely choose a course of one subject or another in order to complete the 20 credits required

- Optional Subject 1: Entrepreneurial leadership and innovation
- Optional Subject 2: Advanced Tools for Business Administration

In the subject “Entrepreneurial leadership and innovation” there is the possibility of elective credits recognition performing business internships when they are considered as specialized in the field of innovation and complementary to the internship required in the planned curriculum.

In the same way, elective credits may be recognized under the heading “Business Project” when the student chooses, since the first years, for a project that is innovative and entrepreneurial with a preincubation during his/her studies and culminates with the Final Project and, if necessary, in subsequent incubation in Tecnocampus Science and Innovation Park Mataró-Maresme. In these cases, the maximum number of credits recognized in each possibility will be 5.

The overall objective of the Degree in Business Administration and Innovation Management is to train professionals with extensive knowledge of business management :

  • That enable them to become qualified to lead business creation and self-managed teams efficiently,
  • Emphasizing their capacity as agents of change in existing businesses and the creation and development of new businesses or companiesR
  • Responding with it to regional needs ;
  • Prepared to work in a globalized and multilingual world;
  • Contributing to the development of the knowledge society whose competitiveness key is innovation.

The knowledge that has been accredited through the official access roads will be required, but it is also advisable that the student has the following skills:

Welcome sessions

A few days before the start of the course, welcome sessions are organized for new students. These days are useful to know the degree coordinatior, the syllabus, the campus services (Academic Management, Library, UACU, Careers and International Relations) and for a tour of the installations in order to know the different spaces where they will study.
