Specialization Diploma in Public Administration and Management

The specialization diploma is committed to a multidisciplinary approach and addresses topics such as the political and social environment, public management and governance models, public policies and the development of managerial skills from an ethical and based point of view in the responsible behavior of public authorities.

This training contributes to achieving public administrations that respond to the demands of the citizens in today's complex and changing environment, and to strengthening leaderships that contribute to making this possible.

The program and faculty want to respond to the real needs of public procurement.
Commanders are offered a space full of learning opportunities with diverse methodologies, from theoretical conceptualization and practical case analysis to public leadership management workshops from different perspectives.

This specialization diploma, co-organized by TecnoCampus and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia, is focused on the direction and management of the whole.

Who is it aimed at?

To management and command staff of the public administrations of Catalonia and its public sector.

The main objective of this specialization diploma is to train high-level public employees within the framework of municipal public administrations to develop managerial and analytical skills that allow them to approach, in a creative and innovative way, the management of public affairs to face the challenges required by the new styles of relational governance.

 Assessment

The assessment and grading system establishes a numerical grade between 0 and 10, in accordance with current regulations, for the overall of each training module. 

• The qualification will be obtained from the evaluation of an activity or work of synthesis of the contents worked on in each module. 
• The final qualification of the Diploma of Specialization is calculated with a weighted average of the qualifications of each module based on the number of credits.

Block I. Political and social environment for public leadership

OBJECTIVE: To understand the central elements that make up the environment of Public Administration, both in terms of evolution, context and scope of action, and to identify the role of management personnel, while delving deeper into the role of the management function and the ethical principles that must guide their actions.

To access this postgraduate degree, you must be in possession of an official university degree and be occupying a management position in the Catalan public administrations or in its public sector. 

Exceptionally, the evaluation committee will assess the application of those people who, despite not holding a public command position, present an endorsement or favorable report from the management body of their organization that accredits the development of tasks equivalent to public management or command or the potential professional development that the candidate may have.
