How can I apply for an Erasmus+/Study Abroad exchange program at TecnoCampus?

To come to Tecnocampus, you will have to be nominated by your home university first. Unfortunately, we don’t accept free movers, as we only work under bilateral agreements between both institutions.

Once you are nominated, we will send you an email with instructions on how to make your application online and submit all your documents within the deadline for this process.

Can I still come to Tecnocampus for an Erasmus+/Study Abroad exchange program if I am a postgraduate student?

Yes, but you will have to choose from our current offer, which is part of our Undergraduate degree studies. We don’t accept exchange students for our Postgraduate degrees.

What are the term dates for this/next academic year? When can I do my exchange program at TecnoCampus?

It is important to know that we don’t work under semesters but terms. Every academic year has 3 terms: 1st term goes from September to December, 2nd term from January to March and 3rd term from March-April to June. This means that students can come for 1 term only, 2 terms or the full year. You can find our academic calendar here.

Do I need a language certificate?

No specific language level is required, but we recommend having at least a B2 level of English or Spanish.

Does TecnoCampus offer accommodation for international students?

Although we don’t provide that kind of service directly, TecnoCampus offers useful information about accommodation in Mataró and Barcelona: you can find it here.

Does TecnoCampus offer visa assistance?

REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT

Will I receive an admission letter, once I submit my online application?

Yes, you will receive an acceptance letter once your documents are validated and your application is confirmed.

What kind of insurance do I need?

Any official insurance company that will cover your medical expenses while you are staying at TecnoCampus. You can find more information here.This document must be issued either in English or Spanish.

How many credits do I need to take?

We don’t have specific requirements regarding ECTS credits. You can choose as many subjects as you like, but always with the previous approval of your home university.

Where can I find the subjects available for my exchange program?

Please know that we will send them to you once your application is confirmed, but you can also find our lists of courses taught in English and Spanish available for exchange students here.

Where can I find the syllabuses for each subject?

Normally, the syllabuses are available on our website, but for assistance regarding that matter, please know that you can contact your international coordinator at TecnoCampus directly by emailwho will provide you with this information.

Can I choose subjects from other Departments?

Yes, but please consider the language in which they are taught when you choose them.

Can I choose subjects taught in Spanish or Catalan if I am not fluent in these languages?

Although we highly recommend taking subjects in English only, please know that you can choose them, but this decision will be your full responsibility in terms of exams’ results and being able to follow those courses. For all the departments except Health, unless specified otherwise, even if they are in Spanish or Catalan, most of the materials will be available in English and you will be able to take the exams in English if you let your professor know at least two weeks before the exams period.

Where can I check the schedules for each subject?

Before your exchange program begins, we will send the schedules by email. They will also be available in the following  link.However, the most up-to-date version will always be published at WebUntis, as there can be last minute changes at any time until your classes start.

To look for the schedules, you will need to know the code and full name of each subject, what degree they belong to, in which year they are taught and the term. If you need help with this, you can contact us at  rrii@tecnocampus.cat.

How can I register for the Spanish free course? Will I get ECTS credits for this course?

Once your application is confirmed and about a month before your exchange program begins, we will send you the information by email on how to register.

Please know that this course doesn’t give you any ECTS credits as this is not considered a subject; this means you won’t have to include it in your Learning Agreement.

DURING YOUR MOBILITY

How do I get to the university?

You can get to TecnoCampus by bus or train. Check out our Guia for more details on how to get to campus.

What should I do if there are overlaps in my timetable?

Depending on the number of ECTS, some subjects take place once, twice or even three times a week. That is why it is likely to have overlapping schedules. In that case, before changing your Learning Agreement, please contact your professors and explain the situation as they will decide if you can still take the course, or you will need to drop it and replace it with another subject that suits your schedule.

Will I be able to make changes in my enrollment?

Yes, you will be able to add or drop subjects during the first two weeks of the term. Please bear in mind that your changes need to be approved in advance by your home university.

To make changes, please send an email to  rrii@tecnocampus.cat during the timeline mentioned and we will do it for you. It might take some days to see the changes on your eCampus.

Is class attendance mandatory?

Yes, normally attendance is compulsory. The professor will confirm this during the first week of classes.

I have exams at my university and I will arrive when classes have already started. Is that a problem?

In theory, there should not be any problem but, if that is the case, please contact with your teachers and/or international coordinator at TecnoCampus and let us know.

Will I have full access to the library and its facilities?

Exchange students have full access to the library and its facilities. Photocopying and computing facilities are also available for you to use.

Will I have Wi-Fi access?

Yes, you will be provided with Wi-Fi access around campus once you get your credentials for  eCampus.

When will I receive my credentials for eCampus? / I haven't received my credentials, what should I do?

Normally, you should receive them in the email address that you have used to make your application, automatically 24h/48h once your enrollment is finished. If you haven’t received them, please check your spam folder as well as sometimes it might go straight there. If it is still not there, send an email to  rrii@tecnocampus.cat and we will help you with that.

Who do I need to contact if I have IT issues?

You can send an email to helpdesk@tecnocampus.cat and they will help you.

 Do I need a NIE or TIE? How can I get it?

EU citizens: Residents in Spain for a period exceeding three months must apply for a NIE number, within one month of entering Spain.
Outside the EU: If your authorized stay is longer than six months, you must apply for your TIE Foreigner Identity Card, within one month of entering Spain. 

To do that, we will send you an email once you start your exchange program with the instructions on how to get it and submit your documents. Once you apply for it, we will forward your documents to the Police, and we will let you know when your NIE is ready for pick up at the Police station of Mataró.  

AFTER YOUR MOBILITY

Where can I get my certificate of attendance?

We will send you the certificate of attendance upon request. Normally, your university should provide you with their form, but if they don’t have one, please send us an email to  rrii@tecnocampus.cat and we will use our own format.

How can I get my transcript of records? Will I receive it automatically after my exchange program?

Once you finish your stay and the transcript processing period is finished, we will send an original transcript of records by email to you and your university, only if you have passed all your exams. If you haven’t and need to retake any exams, you will have to wait to receive it until the transcript processing reassessment period is completed. Who do I need to contact if I have issues with my grades?

For academic purposes, you can contact your professors and/or international coordinator by email directly.

How can I get my Spanish Course’s certificate? Will I receive it automatically after my exchange program?

Once you finish your stay and your grades are ready, we will send you the Spanish certificate automatically.
