TecnoCampus has participated in the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Summit, held from 16 to 18 October in Beijing (China), one of the main international events dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. The edition has brought together more than 50.000 participants from 40 countries, 2.000 international investors and 500 exhibitors with cutting-edge projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, biomedicine and new energies.
With its own stand, TecnoCampus has made known its training programs, support for start-ups and business growth, and has presented its ecosystem of integration of University, business and innovation. Within the framework of the congress, the general director of TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa, has offered the conference “How TecnoCampus turns research into real-world impact” in the main auditorium of the Summit.
Likewise, academic cooperation has been strengthened with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), with whom they are trying to promote joint academic programs. Meetings have also been held with Catalonia Trade & Investment (ACCIÓ Beijing) and other local institutions, such as the Shunyi District Science and Technology Commission, to explore new avenues of cooperation in innovation and technology transfer. “These collaborations open the door to new opportunities for TecnoCampus start-ups in the Chinese market and for joint research and applied innovation projects,” added Checa.

During the month of November, a delegation from the City Council of Mataró visited the Italian city of Prato with the aim of exploring opportunities for collaboration in the field of the circular economy and sharing experiences in projects linked to sustainability, especially in the textile sector. This mission was framed within the "Mataró Circular 2030" strategy, aligned with the principles of the Urban Agenda 2030.
The delegation included 3 companies from Maresme: Coleo, CESC-IT and UTE TEAM Mataró.
The program included visits to urban regeneration initiatives and projects related to sustainable food policies. These activities allowed for an exchange of experiences and knowledge between representatives of the city councils of Prato and Mataró.
The delegation, in which several companies from Mataró also participated, visited the Prato Chamber of Commerce, the PIN-ARCO University and the GIDA water treatment plant, in addition to holding meetings with consortia and companies from the textile sector and the circular economy.
During his stay in Prato, Mataró presented its "Opportunities Office", an initiative to attract investment and position the city as a reference in the circular economy. The "Mataró Circular 2030" strategy was one of the highlights, along with the TecnoCampus Chair in Circular Economy and the plan to support entrepreneurship and businesses.

Last November, Tecnocampus carried out a business mission in Florida, in which three companies from the TecnoCampus business ecosystem participated.
The mission had the collaboration of ACCIÓ's foreign office in Miami and Florida Atlantic University, a university with which TecnoCampus has collaborated for years through a softlanding agreement.
Doole Health, ESED Cybersecurity and Anima Design were the selected companies and had a personalized agenda with key contacts to explore their business in the target market. In addition, the mission also included visits to leading innovation centers such as the visit to the Alan Levan Center or Florida Atlantic University, presentations with market experts and successful entrepreneurs, which allowed us to grasp trends and establish potential synergies with relevant players in the Florida ecosystem.
The three companies have very positively evaluated this first exploration of the market, as well as the results obtained and the support and accompaniment received by TecnoCampus. And his will is to advance this process of internationalization in the United States during this 2024.
What did the mission offer?

For this mission, we had the support of a consultant specialized in the French market, Isabel Garcia, from Barcelona Export, and also with the help of ACCIÓ's Foreign Office in Paris. Two companies participated, isWolk and Doole Health, who traveled to Paris on November 15 with Tecnocampus staff to enjoy a schedule of visits to entities of interest and potential clients/suppliers.
One of the visits was to the Medical Cluster (Medicen) and the Fintech Cluster (Finance Innovation). They were also able to visit Station F and the Paris-Est Créteil University (UPEC) with which Tecnocampus has a softlanding agreement. At the university, they were able to meet with the science faculty. The following day, the 3D LAB Experience was visited and a networking lunch was held with the business fabric of Créteil.
In short, the two companies have evaluated this mission positively. With a score of excellent - a 9 the number of meetings has been assessed, and they have considered it "very likely" that potential collaborations will arise from some of these meetings in the future. At the level of qualitative assessment, Doole Health wanted to highlight positively being able to "get to know the French market first hand and the different landing options".
