The research group Entrepreneurship and Society aims to give visibility and promote entrepreneurship research at TecnoCampus. It was born from the activity of a team of researchers dedicated to research, education and knowledge transfer in entrepreneurship, especially as a result of the impact of several R&D projects developed in collaboration with researchers and institutions from all over Europe.
The group delve into a wide variety of topics, from the identification and exploitation of entrepreneurial opportunities and business development, to the impact of entrepreneurship education and the role of universities in promoting entrepreneurial mindsets. To address these questions, the team applies a wide range of research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative, with the aim of obtaining a rigorous and multidimensional understanding of entrepreneurial phenomena.
Entrepreneurship has been a strategic axis of TecnoCampus, in line with its commitment to the economic and social development of the region and the training of professionals with an innovative spirit. The research group's activity is based on TecnoCampus' consolidated trajectory in entrepreneurship in the Maresme and Catalonia, especially in the educational field, where it is present in all academic programs and a wide variety of extracurricular initiatives, in addition to incubation services and other support mechanisms for entrepreneurs.

Projecte SustainForFuture (2025-2027)
Project funded by EIT Higher Education Initiative, cohort 4Total amount granted: €1,300,000.
SutainForFuture has the vision to become the European reference network for driving sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education institutions. The project aims to address the grand global challenges by fostering sustainable entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to lead the way towards a more sustainable and inclusive European economy, aligned with the Green Deal, the digital transformation and the principles of a regenerative economy.
To achieve this vision, several actions will be carried out focused on three axes: (1) entrepreneurial teaching and learning, integrating sustainability into the curriculum and promoting active methodologies focused on solving real problems; (2) preparation and support for entrepreneurs, with personalized mentoring programs, support for the development of sustainable business models and access to impact financing; and (3) entrepreneurial ecosystems and networks, promoting collaboration between universities, business and administration. They will also be launched specialized programs in sustainable entrepreneurship, hubs within universities to support startups with impact, and intersectoral collaboration initiatives to address sustainability challenges together.

SFF.DeepT+ (2022-2024)
Project funded by EIT Higher Education Initiative, cohort 3Total amount granted: €750,000.
The project SFF.DeepT+ aims to establish a new framework for systemic innovation based on the Deep Tech (deep technology), paving the way for the future. Based on the consolidated initiative Start for Future, the project promotes a new innovation model that connects the actors of the Knowledge Triangle (universities, research and business) to create an open and collaborative European innovation ecosystem. Its mission is to build a university-led ecosystem that fosters innovation with a positive economic, ecological, technological and social impact. To achieve this, an inclusive and participatory co-creation process is promoted that involves students, professionals and academic staff.
SFF.DeepT+ involves undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, as well as early-stage researchers, in the creation of companies (start-ups i spin-offs). This is done through transdisciplinary formats based on real challenges defined by cities, regions and companies, and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Tandem+ (2021-2022)
The project TANDEM + sets the path towards 2030 through an open, multi-dimensional international entrepreneurship consortium. The consortium aims to prepare talent for entrepreneurial thinking and action, promoting the international exchange of talents and start-ups. It also creates a European network connecting universities, the EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) and key actors in regional ecosystems. To ensure impact, the project offers mentoring programmes, training of trainers (train the trainer) and microcredentials for network partners, with a special focus on EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS) countries. TANDEM+ implements several key initiatives: (a) el development of a network of universities and their regional ecosystems, (b) acceleration programs to support talents and entrepreneurial activities, (c) integrated training and mentoring for students, researchers, educators and staff, (d) lifelong learning programs (life long learning) based on microcredentials. The project is aligned with the strategic objectives of several EIT KICs, such as EIT Manufacturing, EIT Urban Mobility, EITHealth i EIT RawMaterials, contributing to the creation of a dynamic and open innovation ecosystem.

EICAA (2021-2023)
EICA aims to develop a digital platform for the assessment and development of entrepreneurial skills. This tool will allow universities, companies and other organizations to carry out processes of profiling and monitoring entrepreneurial skills (for example, among students or employees). An essential conceptual basis for this project is the Entrepreneurial Competence Framework (EntreComp), developed by Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
By assessing entrepreneurial competence profiles on the EICAA digital platform, learning activities or training opportunities can be used more specifically to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking and action. In addition, the EICAA consortium is developing teaching and training materials to promote these competences. A selection of these materials —based on the results of each user's assessment— will be automatically suggested through the platform to promote the improvement of the identified entrepreneurial competence areas.

THEI2.0 (2020-2021)
The project "Towards HEInnovate 2.0: From assessment to action" (THEI2.0) will develop a broader and improved version of the HEInnovate tool, created by the European Commission and the OECD, with the aim of offering users a set of new applications. This new version aims to support decision-making in higher education institutions, in different areas of intervention, to make them more innovative and entrepreneurial and, above all, to allow them to get involved, participate and communicate better with the people who define them.

GAVIUS (2019-2022)
Gavius is an innovative project to create an intelligent and virtual assistant for local administration. With an innovative use of data that prioritizes user privacy, it will inform citizens about the social benefits available to them. It will also serve to process, grant and receive them in a comfortable, quick and simple way through a mobile application, which, using artificial intelligence techniques on aggregated data, will be able to recommend the necessary procedures to users.
TecnoCampus and members of the research group participate, together with the Mataró City Council, in co-creation, ideation and prototyping sessions with the public.
Project funded by: Urban Innovation Action 2019.
