Introduction

TecnoCampus designed and implemented, with the active participation of the entire university community —faculty, students, management staff and external agents— an Educational Framework that becomes one of the fundamental pillars of its academic proposal.

This Framework establishes the pedagogical and methodological guidelines that currently guide teaching activity, guaranteeing quality training, innovative and aligned with the changing needs of society and the productive fabric. At the same time, it constitutes a distinctive element that differentiates TecnoCampus within the university system, emphasizing the integral development of the student through the promotion of transversal skills to successfully face the professional and social challenges of an increasingly complex and globalized environment.

Objectives of the Educational Framework

1. Educational excellence:

The objective shows the will to continue promoting quality teaching that allows us to guarantee the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skills of our students in the field of their discipline and to trigger internal mechanisms so that the teaching staff can carry out their functions linked to teaching and research with the highest quality standards.

2. Train socially responsible people, committed to the environment and prepared for the future

The objective reflects the conviction that the university must contribute to the training of citizens committed to sustainability, social justice and ethics in all its dimensions. Likewise, it is necessary to prepare young people to adapt to a professional environment with solid skills to face an uncertain and constantly changing future.

3. Harmonize the educational criteria of the TecnoCampus:

The objective is to ensure coherence and alignment between the different studies of the TecnoCampus University Center, establishing common teaching-learning policies and practices within the institution. This orientation must not imply the loss of the differential features of the different departments and areas of knowledge that are key to the richness and diversity of the educational offer of the institution.

Specific objectives

The objectives of the Educational Framework are specified in 7 specific objectives:

  • TecnoCampus Common Competencies (CCT)

Incorporate the TecnoCampus Common Competencies (CCT) in all university degree courses offered. Introduce them in university master's degree courses and continuing education courses as much as possible.

  • Quality in teaching-learning processes

Guarantee and promote quality in teaching-learning processes, through the adoption of measures to ensure excellence in teaching. Promote the use of active methodologies and information and communication technologies in teaching-learning processes, as well as recognize the importance of the teacher's role as a guide in the learning process that favors the adoption of an active role by the student, placing him at the center of the learning process.

  • Accompany the student

TecnoCampus intensifies actions related to student support. In this sense, different tools are being developed with the aim of improving their learning experience and thus reducing the dropout rate. A basic tool is the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT), which guarantees the right to a support, advice and tutoring mechanism for university students through an orientation and accompaniment service that improves the student experience throughout their studies. By supporting the PAT, the use of services such as the Psychological Care Service (SAP), student mentoring, the Equality and Diversity Unit, the Healthy and Sustainable Campus as well as the Academic Guidance Services and transition mentoring to the professional world is promoted. The latter are one of the pillars in this guide where support, advice and tutoring become a fundamental element of the student experience.

  • Promoting the internationalization of learning

Promote the internationalization of learning, favoring the development of a global vision within studies that allows students to compare their reality with other ways of approaching problem solving or management around the world; facilitating access to international experiences and stays and increasing teaching in English.

  • Promote the transversality of common knowledge

Promote the transversality of common knowledge within the degrees, favoring the relationship and collaborative work between teaching staff and students of the different degrees.

  • Entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship

Promote entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship so that these are fundamental parts of the student's learning journey.

  • Interrelationship between teaching-learning processes

Develop greater interrelationship between teaching-learning processes, research and innovation within the framework of the TecnoCampus ecosystem
