The figure is 8,6% higher than the previous year, thanks to the good evolution of the fifteen degrees that are taught

The 2022-2023 academic year has begun at the TecnoCampus with a higher number of first-year enrollments than expected. Once the registration for September has been completed, there are a total of 934 students, 8,6% more than the 860 of the previous year. The good evolution in terms of new enrollment in almost all of the 15 degrees and double degrees offered at the TecnoCampus has therefore made it possible to exceed the forecasts that had been made at the beginning of the university pre-registration period last month of June

The most numerous degree in terms of students starting the first year is that of Nursing, with a total of 95 students assigned. It is followed by the degree in Audiovisual Media, with 92 students, and that of Business Administration and Innovation Management, with 80 new students, to which must be added the 43 who will study this same degree with the teaching modality in english Also particularly positive are the enrollment data for new access in the case of industrial engineering (78 students) and computer science (61 students, and 38 more in the double degree in Computer Science and Video Games).

TecnoCampus gives a very positive assessment of these data, which show the strength of the city's university project, which is closely linked to Pompeu Fabra University, to which its undergraduate, postgraduate and master's degree programs are affiliated. Precisely, one of the challenges that the institution is facing this year is the integration of the three university schools (the Higher Polytechnic School, the Higher School of Social and Business Sciences and the Higher School of Health Sciences) in a unique centre, the TecnoCampus University Centre, which will continue to be attached to Pompeu Fabra University.

Linked to this process, an open selection process was carried out in July to appoint a new director of the said single centre. The person chosen is Elisa Sayrol, who joins TecnoCampus this October, reporting to the general management.

Sayrol has a solid track record in the field of academic management. She has been director of the Barcelona Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering, where she has also held the position of deputy director of International Relations. She was also vice-rector of Institutional Relations at the UPC, and for the last three years, academic director, as the rector's delegate, of the EIT Urban Mobility project. Sayrol is a PhD in Telecommunications, full professor since 2001 and member of a research group in image and video processing for artificial intelligence data processing. Internationally, he has done research stays for three years at two universities in the United States.
