On 27 and 28 May, Barcelona was the capital of Physiotherapy. The Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB - Forum) has hosted the II International Congress of Physiotherapy (# FTP22). On Friday the 27th, at 9.30 am, the dean of the school and councilor Argimon inaugurated the event.

For two days, more than 1.800 attendees from all over the country and internationally moved through the 11 simultaneous rooms where the new approaches were presented in different areas such as geriatrics, neurology, pediatrics, pain, skeletal neuromuscular , therapeutic physical activity, pelvic floor, sport, pelvic floor, respiratory physiotherapy, invasive physiotherapy and inclusion and disability. Under the motto #SOMFISIO, attendees have been able to enjoy, learn, unlearn, share, reunite .... in short, live this profession of physiotherapist.

The associate and permanent teachers of the TecnoCampus have contributed with high quality presentations this congress, thus evidencing the great level that has the physiotherapy in our country. The participating teachers were Pere Bacardit ("Chronic pain in the elderly. And now what?" And "Therapeutic approach to chronic pain in the elderly"); Anabel Casanovas (“Prehabilitation in Breast Cancer”); Mireia Pardàs (“Role of respiratory physiotherapy in infant bronchiolitis”); Raquel Sebio (“Muscle diseases and strength training: friends or enemies?”); Marc Terradellas (“PREFROB study. Prevention of fragility in obese elderly people”) and Esther Mur, coordinator of the Degree in Physiotherapy, who was part of the scientific committee, where she evaluated the proposals for posters and communications that were presented.

In addition, students in the Degree in Physiotherapy and the Double Degree in Physiotherapy and Physical Activity and Sport Sciences have contributed to making the Congress a great success by volunteering.
