This Friday, October 1, the presentation of the Blocs Catalunya 2010 Awards was held in the Auditorium of the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Park Congress Center, an event of great importance for bloggers in the country. The riddles about the winners have been revealed after a very competitive participatory process, with more than 600 participants in the various categories. The capacity of the auditorium, of about 350 people, has reached a total, and was attended by the Mayor of Mataró, Joan Antoni Baron, who presented the TecnoCampus project to all participants and he stressed that it is the city's great commitment to move from an industrial economy to a knowledge-based one.

The members of the jury of the Awards were also present, including the President of the Parliament of Catalonia, Ernest Benach, and the President of the TecnoCampus, Alícia Romero.

In addition to all the attendees, the event has been followed through social media, especially via Twitter and the hashtag #premisblocs, as most attendees have combined live applause with online tweets. The number of laptops and mobile phones with internet connection has been overwhelming.
