The Transfer, Innovation and Business Area of ​​the TecnoCampus, with the technical support of the Circular Economy Chair, has carried out the first edition of the Start Circular Programme.

The program Start Circular, financed by the Provincial Council of Barcelona and coordinated by the area of ​​Transfer, Innovation and Enterprise with the support of the Chair of Circular Economy and Sustainability at TecnoCampus, it is a vertical program in circular economy. Your goal is make companies and entrepreneurs aware of the circular economy and the principles that govern it, and accompany them in its implementation, through a set of training sessions, webinars and personalized advice.

The program is part of the strategy of the city of Mataró for encourage the transition towards a circular economy. Start Circular complements the high performance program for entrepreneurs Innoempren, as the first provides knowledge in circularity, and the second lays the foundations necessary to understand how businesses are defined and work. Start Circular began during the month of October 2022 with an inaugural session given by the Chair and addressed to companies, under the principle that the companies of the future will be sustainable or they will not be".

To date, six sessions have been held, of around two hours each, where the concept of the circular economy, business models, non-financial reports, institutional marketing, metrics have been discussed and other aspects. The Chair provides the technical support and knowledge necessary for the design and teaching of the training program, and for the advice of companies and entrepreneurs who want to incorporate circularity into their business.

This is the first edition of the program, which will be developed during the year 2023 with webinars, support and advice to companies, circular entrepreneurship programs and others. The program will last until the end of the school year.
