The TecnoCampus has participated in the creation and development of a methodology that supports the entrepreneurial and innovative strategy of universities.

The methodology called eHEI (entrepreneurial Higher Education Institutions) is built on the HEInnovate platform, developed by the European Commission and the OECD, which defines a taxonomy of the entrepreneurial university in eight dimensions: leadership and governance; organizational capacity; entrepreneurship teaching and learning; support for entrepreneurs; knowledge transfer; internationalization; digitization; and impact measurement

The eHEI methodology defines a process that goes from the reflection and analysis of the university's entrepreneurial development, the definition of the university's mission and vision, the detection of opportunities, the generation of ideas, the elaboration of a strategy and action plan, as well as the identification and measurement of impact. To follow this process, eHEI has created a set of support tools such as action cards, which facilitate the generation of ideas and the creation of the action plan.

The eHEI methodology is the result of the work of a consortium of universities formed by the University of Aveiro (Portugal) -as project leader-, Dundalk Institute (Ireland), LUT University (Finland), Strascheg Center for Entreprenurship ( Germany), in addition to the TecnoCampus. The project called "Towards HEInnovate 2.0: From assessment to action" (THEI2.0), started in 2020 and has been funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program. The methodology has been tested and validated with more than ten universities from all over Europe. Likewise, it has received international recognition with the realization of a workshop in Amsterdam last June 16, in the framework of the UIIN 2022 (University Industry Innovation Network) congress and the subsequent dissemination in the HEInnovate network supported by the European Commission.

The TecnoCampus work team is led by Ester Bernadó and made up of also professor Jaume Teodoro, and Ferran Huidobro, technician from the area of Transfer, Innovation and Enterprise, as well as the participation of Anna Gabriel and Marta Carceller, from the sevei of projects and research, and Anahí Moyano, responsible for university entrepreneurship.
