The TecnoCampus, thanks to the financial endowment of the City Council of Mataró, launches again the Covid-19 grants for undergraduate students linked to financial implications for Covid-19. This is a type of grant from which all students enrolled in the 2021-2022 academic year will be able to benefit. The novelty regarding last year's call is that it has been decided that the call will be articulated in two phases: the first, which is now open, is aimed at new students, those starting the University next year. In the second phase, in September, will open the call to students of later courses, from second, and which will also be eligible for students who obtain a place at the TecnoCampus in the university pre-registration in September. The aim of opening the call now for first-year students is that those who choose the TecnoCampus and get a place in the June pre-registration know, before enrollment, whether they get this aid or not. The financial endowment of the fund guarantees that all students with justified causes obtain this aid, which last year benefited 124 students.

The beneficiaries of this exceptional line of aid are all students who have suffered financial problems, theirs or their family environment, which make it difficult to pay tuition, and which are directly attributable to the economic consequences of the pandemic, such as is affected by an ERE or ERTE, an income slump in the case of employers and self-employed, etc. etc.

All the details of the call can be consulted here.

It should be borne in mind that another line of aid is still open, in this case recurring year by year and that it has already reached its ninth edition, the TecnoCampus scholarships, to which new students can apply who can then renew the scholarship in subsequent years.

Between TecnoCampus grants and scholarships and those awarded by other bodies (Generalitat and State), one in four students enrolled in the TecnoCampus receives some kind of help with the registration of degrees.
