Last Thursday, November 25, a conference was held at the TCM for Tourism students, on "Social Responsibility and SMEs in Hospitality and Tourism", by Jordi Ficapal, ESADE Professor - Sant Ignasi.

Mr. Ficapal spoke of the lack of social responsibility of large companies as one of the causes of the crisis, as they are the ones who can develop social responsibility projects; SMEs, which in principle have less room for maneuver, are the ones that carry out the most RSO projects, especially in the case of the tourism sector.

The RSO consists of the integration of the company in the host society showing sensitivity to social and environmental issues and developing programs within the business strategy to mitigate the negative impacts generated by its activity.
