Other Side Mirror, a Catalan company in ICT and Health that offers Virtual Reality and Biomechanics technology solutions for preventive health and rehabilitation, participated last week in the 2ª Tic and Health Conference, organized at the Science and Technology Park of the University of Girona, with the support of the TicSalut Foundation and the collaboration of UBIFrance.
The day revolved around three thematic axes that addressed strategic issues such as the promotion of ICT for quality of life in aging and vulnerable people; the greater efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare processes through the introduction of ICT; and ICTs at the service of the citizen and co-responsibility in their health.

This year's edition had an outstanding participation of French companies and entities. About 100 innovation projects in ICT and Health were presented, which opens a scenario of new opportunities for Catalonia and France. The TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation also took part, and both Other Side Mirror and the TIC Salut Foundation are based in the TCM park.

Other Side Mirror presented the CELTIC HIPERMED project, a cooperative project coordinated by Gigle Networks and the i2CAT Foundation, a European consortium made up of Spain, Sweden, Poland, Turkey and Egypt. HIPERMED wants to generate a fully integrated high-performance telemedicine and telecare platform. Other Side Mirror presented as a novelty a gallery of solutions in the field of virtual reality and biomechanics. During the day, its recent collaboration and exclusive distribution agreement for the peninsula of the technological solutions of the French company TechnoConcept was made official.

Kineo © is an electronic protractor designed to facilitate the assessment of joint mobility in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Dynafoot is a compact and practical baropodometry system for the dynamic analysis of contact pressures underfoot, support areas, and the analysis of the various phases of gait in full freedom of movement.

OSM-VDC is a biomechanical test automation system in the assessment of bodily harm, this solution integrates the connection with the Visual 3d engine and collects the Ammas capture to create the different reports that host all the necessary biomechanical solution. Product developed by the company C-Motion and Other Side Mirror.

GYMPLATE © is a platform equipped with force sensors, to analyze the patient's balance with his center of pressure, and perform a therapy based on physical exercises that adapt to the patient thanks to real-time bio-feedback.

 
Jordi Garriga, Corporate and International Relations Director of Other Side Mirror, together with Pedro Álvarez were responsible for presenting the 4D HEALTH Project, which aims to create the first virtual practice and augmented reality hospital to improve patient safety (Real Simulated Hospital). This project will be presented at the AMEE Congress in Vienna. The CEO of the project is Dr. Enrich Macarulla and the members of the consortium are L'Hospital d'Igualada, Unió Empresarial Anoia, Actes, i2CAT, Igualada Council, Fundació Robert, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Other Side Mirror.
