Coinciding with the celebration of the Final Four of the Euroleague basketball, for the first time, on May 29, an international conference on professional basketball is held, of which the School of Health Sciences is one of the sponsors, together with university centers across the continent. This is theELPA Performance International Congress, organized by the Euroleague players' association, chaired by player Gigi Datome.

Throughout the morning of Saturday the 29th, experts from sports clubs and universities will address aspects of a basketball player’s professional life such as injuries, competitive pressure, sports psychology or sports sciences. A teacher of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Mar Rovira, who is a former professional basketball player, is part of the organization of the congress as coordinator of the area of ​​sports psychology of the EuroLeague Players Association Performance Advisory Board.

The event is online and free for all professionals and researchers in the world of sport.
