Joan Jordi Miralles groups together three long narratives, written over a slow fire and strictly realistic

This November, the publishing house Males Herbes has published Marginality, the last book of the professor of the Degree in Audiovisual Media Joan Jordi Miralles.

Marginality is the art of commenting, pointing and drawing in the margins of a book, to highlight everything that is in the text implicitly but buried. Through this concept, Joan Jordi Miralles groups together three long narratives, written over a slow fire and strictly realistic. They are everyday stories that place the protagonists on the threshold of a moral border about to break, on the fine line that separates good intentions from unexpected results.

Joan Jordi Miralles has published the novels·the The Most High (Andròmina Prize, Editions Three and Four, 2005), The whale's uterus (Vila de Lloseta Award, Editorial Moll, 2010), A wonderful woman (LaBreu, 2014) and Agglutination (Joanot Martorell Award, Edicions 62, 2018), in addition to the volume of long stories The intimacy of beasts (Marian Vayreda Award, Empúries, 2017). His stories have participated in various media and anthologies, including Vanishing Points (Weeds, 2015) i leech (AdiA, 2017). In theater, he has published plays This is Austria (Pare Colom Mediterranean Theater Award, Leonard Muntaner, 2012) i Happy children (Weeds, 2016). He is currently the head of content and screenwriter for the new television format program The return of the skylights, which will be broadcast next year on Channel 33.

On Thursday 25 November, at 19 pm, Joan Jordi Miralles will talk to Manel Ollé in the garden of La Central del Raval. More information at bookstore website.
