The chair awards the best end-of-degree and master's theses that incorporate the perspective of circularity in their content.

La Chair of Circular Economics and Sustainability of the TecnoCampus has awarded the student Alex Pelegrín Núñez an award for work "Project for tracking and controlling shrinkage in a Hotmelt machine”, directed by Professor Francisco Flores Salgado. It is a circular economy proposal to reduce the consumption and rejection of both the hot-melt adhesive applied to clothing and the clothing itself. The prize was awarded on October 26 at the headquarters of the Chair of Circular Economy and Sustainability, in an event attended by the general director of the TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa, and the vice president of the Maresme Regional Council, Joaquim Arnó (in the photograph, both with the prize winner).

The award is part of the chair's annual awards, which will be held again this year 2022-2023 with the intention of recognizing those final degree and master's theses that provide proposals to address the need for the transition to new models of production and consumption. The following categories have been established: area of ​​research, area of ​​entrepreneurship and innovation, area of ​​improvements and best thesis at the end of a degree or master's degree.

The awards are supported by'Aigües de Mataró, the Maresme Urban Solid Waste Consortium and the Maresme County Council, and involves an allocation of 800 euros for each category.
