This is a training course that makes up part of their master's programs. At TecnoCampus, the program has been jointly coordinated by the School of Social and Business Sciences, by professor Roberto Dopeso, and by the Centre of Studies of lifelong learning HUB4T in the training modality known as Study Abroad.

Today, the Internet is the quintessential means in the development of any economic and social activity. That is why companies must not only be present, but must know how to act in this context in economic and strategic terms.

The demand for professional profiles with leadership capabilities to strategically manage this new sector is growing. Knowing the communication tools not only serves the company to sell its products, but also to generate and disseminate the value of the entity, interact with its workers and even as a vehicle to recruit new staff.

The program in Digital Entrepreneurship, which has been carried out between TecnoCampus and Barcelona, aims to work on the keys to successful entrepreneurship in digital environments and at the same time, train professionals to lead the digital transformation of companies with a strategic vision.

Accordingly, the program combines master sessions, professional experiences and visits to companies and entrepreneurial ecosystems in Barcelona, such as Tech Barcelona and the building MediaTIC, at Barcelona City Council, via Barcelona Activa. Digital innovation, Inbound marketing, internet positioning, Business analytics or how to make a successful strategy for social networks, are the main contents of the training sessions, concepts that ICESI students have had to apply in a real case worked on during the week and presented in the last session, held last Friday July 1 at the university.

During the stay they have visited leading companies in the digital field such as Inverted, the first online market for profitable properties to invest in properties such as financial assets and start-ups such as: bambai, simple, flexible, economical and non-permanent alarm service for homes; winhost, comprehensive rental management service for any home to get the best performance; and Apt, the sustainable delivery alternative of Mataró, based on good practices, both for all workers and local businesses involved, as well as for the environment.

The sessions have been complemented by visits to the business park incubators, the TecnoCampus incubator, where there are currently about twenty start-ups, from the three sectors of activity of the university: Health, Technology and Business, and Reimagine Textile, the first textile / fashion incubator in Catalonia with international projection.

Maria Angelica Cruz and Emiliy Gallego, teachers who have accompanied the ICESI students, have pointed out that the purpose of the stay is for students to have an international experience focused on entrepreneurship: “This program has given students entrepreneurial skills applicable in any business sector and territorial area ”.

The collaboration is framed within the Network of Entrepreneurial Universities driven by TecnoCampus and where ICESI plays a relevant role.
