The TecnoCampus will host the first DiGRA Spain International Congress (DIGRAES21) from 14 to 17 December 2021. This first congress aims to consolidate DiGRA España, a local version of the international digital games research association (DiGRA). This founding congress is co-organized by the TecnoCampus Culture and Leisure Technology research group and the ITACA research group at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón. Registration is open until December 10th.

 

The DIGRAES21 congress aims to be the meeting point for research groups and doctoral students in the country who investigate the recreational phenomenon, whether from a social, humanistic or technological point of view. The theme of the congress, under the motto “The map and the game. Game Studies in Spain ”seeks to establish a network of knowledge focused both on the people involved (research groups, doctoral students and researchers), as well as on the situation of the discipline itself and the existing studies and lines of research in the territory. .  

In this sense, it will have 44 presentations by 68 authors that focus on the different forms of play, whether analog or digital, as well as on phenomena related to the playful dimension and its context. In addition, the conference will feature three keynote speakers with a long international career: Susana Tosca (Roskilde University, Denmark), Clara Fernández Vara (NYU Game Center at New York University) and Nelson Zagalo (Aveiro University, Portugal) .
