Description


Subject that prepares and advances the realization of the work of end of degree, building, in class and of progressive way, the different competitions, guidelines and points that build the TFG, and confecing, at the end of the term, a preliminary project that will establish the general lines and preliminaries of the final degree project. From the introduction and justification of the idea or subject, objectives, the previous study and the analysis of referents, the study and application of the theoretical frame, organization and management of the methodological tools, happening through the global conception, until the economic and temporary viability of the project, and the legality in which it will be framed.

Learning outcomes


At the end of the course the student must be able to:

1. Pose a project rigorously analyzing the initial requirements of a project.

2. Assess the interest and viability of a project by evaluating different resolution possibilities.

3. Understand and apply project planning and monitoring techniques using computer support tools.

4. Defend and justify the work done correctly both in writing and orally.

5. Know and apply quality techniques for a project.

6. Know and apply the legislation linked to the world of communication and the current culture to specific cases.

The course enables students to write a preliminary project taking into account relevant aspects of legislation and feasibility.

Working methodology


The class sessions of the subject combine the theoretical presentations made by the teachers with practical sessions of oral presentations and the participation of students to resolve doubts, present solutions to the exercises requested, defend work, ...

The subject requires the student to carry out an individual self-learning task and, where appropriate, in groups, essential for the acquisition and consolidation of the knowledge provided.

The subject requires a lot of autonomous work by the student, dedicated, in large part, to the writing of parts or the whole project, and documentation and search for sources.

Important:

-For each activity, the teacher will inform of the particular norms and conditions that govern them.

-Unipersonal activities presuppose the student's commitment to carry them out individually. All activities in which the student does not comply with this commitment will be considered suspended, regardless of their role.

-Any activity not delivered or presented will be considered scored with zero points.

Evaluation system


Exhibitions and presentations in class:

-Introduction and objectives of the project: 10%

-Previous study: analysis of references and background: 10%

-Theoretical framework and methodology: 10%

-Global conception / development of the subject: 10%

Special activities:

-Guest talks (TFG Alumni): 10%

-Speed ​​Dating TFG: 10%

Preliminary final delivery: 40%

Writing and delivery of the complete project on the chosen topic.

Important:

-It is necessary to get a 5 out of 10 (20 points out of 40) as a minimum grade in the preliminary project. Any work that does not reach 5 will not average with the rest of the notes, will be considered unfit and will involve the automatic suspension of the subject.

-The spelling and wording will be taken into account in the correction of the preliminary draft. Poor wording and / or spelling mistakes will result in a significant penalty in the assessment.

-If plagiarism is detected in any of the exercises or preliminary project, the subject will be automatically suspended and the preliminary project considered unsuitable.
