Learning outcomes


At the end of the subject, the student will be able to:                

  • Master the basic terminology of audiovisual production.
  • Know the legal implications of audiovisual production.
  • Apply the techniques, methods and technological tools that allow the design, planning and organization of human resources and technical and budgetary means to produce audiovisual works.

Master classes and practical classes.
Face-to-face tutorials.

Attendance at practical classes is mandatory to pass the course.
Not all presentations will be posted on the eCampus, notes must be taken.

Topic 2: Pre-production            
2.1 How did the idea come about? From idea to project.

2.3.1 Breakdown and point of view of production´
2.3.2 Creative thinking and team management.
2.4 Acquisition of the rights of the work.

Topic 4: Post-production and marketing´                    

4.1 Control from production of the entire assembly phase.

Learning activities


There is a final theory exam (50% of the overall grade).
There is a compulsory reading and an exercise related to reading (10% of the overall grade). 
Reading can enter the final exam.
Teachers reserve the right to take a surprise exam during the course, on a class day.

During the practical classes the students in groups of five people will work on a production dossier. This dossier will be divided into different phases corresponding to the following activities:

Activity 1. Analysis from a case of the different phases of production of an audiovisual project. Non-evaluable activity. 
Activity 2. Breakdown of an audiovisual script. Group activity. 10% of the overall grade.
Activity 3. Production Calendar (organize by dates the three phases of pre-production, production and post-production and the tasks related to each) and search for sources of funding. 10% of the overall grade.
Activity 4. Setting up a shooting plan. 10% of the overall grade.
Activity 5. Dissemination and distribution plan. 10% of the overall grade. 
        
 

Evaluation system


The exam is worth 50% of the overall grade.
The exercise on compulsory reading is worth 10% of the overall grade. 
Activity 1: not evaluable. 
Activity 2: 10% of the overall grade.
Activity 3: 10% of the overall grade.
Activity 4: 10% of the overall grade.
Activity 5: 10% of the overall grade.
 
To pass the practical part of the subject it is essential to attend the sessions and deliver all the practices.

For the exam to average you have to take a 5. With less than a 5 you don’t average and you have to go to the resit exam.

There is a compulsory reading that enters as content in the theory exam. 

The recovery consists of the recovery of the theoretical part of the subject, by means of an examination that will collect all the theoretical content of the same.

The practical part is done continuously throughout the course and is not recovered.
