Description


This course introduces the student to the design and implementation of information services based on content management systems, e-commerce platforms and positioning strategies on the WWW.

This subject has no prerequisites.

Learning outcomes


At the end of the course the student must be able to:

  • Design, configure and edit a content management platform with different types of content management systems
  • Design, develop and configure an e-commerce platform with legislation in mind
  • Design and manage a positioning and presence strategy on the Web
  • Define a content management strategy for open data systems

Working methodology


Guided learning hours include:
Theoretical classes in large group in which:
> the invited teachers or professionals introduce the contents of the subject.
> small teaching activities are carried out that seek to make the student an active protagonist in the acquisition of their knowledge.
Projects in small teams of two / three people that have a part that is carried out in the laboratory led or supervised by the teaching staff and a part in which the team must work autonomously.
Directed research activities on topics related to the subject.
The hours of autonomous learning are considered the hours to prepare the theoretical classes, the hours to study and consolidate the acquired knowledge, the hours to develop the projects and, finally, the hours that the student can dedicate to increase and complement their knowledge of the subject.

Evaluation system


Qualification system (evaluation)

1. Corporate information service project with a content management system (20%)

2. E-commerce platform project. (30%)

3. Final exam (50%)

 

All activities are compulsory. A grade higher than 4 is required in each evaluable activity to be able to make the average.
Following the general regulations, the copy in the activities of evaluation carries like consequence the evaluation with a note SUPENS (0) of all the asignatura.

The make-up exam does not include the activities and a minimum grade of 5 is required to pass the subject.


Rules for carrying out the activities


All activities are required to attend to be evaluated.
Activities are mandatory. Activities not performed - or those not attended - are rated as 0.
