The purpose of the Final Degree Project (TFG) is for the student to demonstrate their ability to apply the training acquired throughout the degree studies, accrediting the obtaining of the degree title.

The TFG is an individual work without detriment that it can be an independent part of a work developed jointly between students of the same or different degrees. In any case, the defense and evaluation of the TFG is individual.

The job must end up training the student to practice the profession and accredit their ability to:

Develop some questions of interest related to the contents of the subjects studied.

Apply the criteria and techniques learned in the subjects.

Apply the skills acquired during the studies in order to carry out a project or work of the degree.

Learn to develop a coherent project or work, clear, and with interesting results.

Learn to document, structure and write a project or work.


This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

The Tecnocampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

Learning outcomes

The fact of autonomously developing a work or project that synthesizes and applies knowledge and skills acquired in various subjects and that requires the student to search for information and planning, allows the student to achieve the following results:

Working methodology

The final degree project is developed in five phases:

1) Adjudication of the subject and assignment of tutor. The topic of the work can arise on the initiative of the student or the tutor. In both cases the tutor checks that the subject can have an adequate scope and level so that the student demonstrates his ability to apply the training acquired throughout the studies, accrediting the obtaining of the degree and takes into account its coherence with the lines of work and research of the area of ​​knowledge.

2) Realization of the preliminary project. It is prepared during the first term of the course. In this document the student must look for the information necessary for the development of the work including regulations, legislation, patents and bibliography. The document defines the objectives to be achieved, the methodology and scope of the work, contains the preliminary results and the work program.

3) Realization of the intermediate report. It is made during the second quarter. It describes and contains the progress of the TFG which must be consistent with the work program established in the preliminary draft. Eventually, the methodology and the program can be rethought in view of the results obtained to date.

4) Completion of the final documentation. It is delivered at the end of the third quarter, includes the completed report and, where applicable, the product and / or prototype of the completed TFG.

5) Public defense before the court. The student makes a public defense of his work before the court with the help of audiovisual media and prototypes and models if necessary.

During phases 2 to 4 the tutor meets with the student, reviews his progress and guides him in the development of the work. The tutor teacher, according to his criteria, can propose collaborating professors or experts, whose mission is to advise the student in particular aspects of his work.


The contents associated with the Final Degree Project (TFG) will depend in each case on its subject and scope.

Learning activities

Search for information: bibliography, patents, regulations, background, etc.

Drafting of the work plan and program of activities.

Work development.

Writing of the report and, if applicable, plans, calculations and other annexed documents.

Preparation of the material to support the oral presentation and defense.

Public defense of the TFG.

Evaluation system

The TFG tutor evaluates and prepares a quarterly report on the evolution of the TFG.

The final court evaluates three rubrics: the written documentation, the work done, and the oral presentation.

If the grade awarded by the final court is higher than 5, then the final grade of the TFG is determined by weighting the following weight in the calculation:


30% Continuous assessment made by the lecturer

70% Final Court.
