Description


The objectives of this subject are to know the national, European and international legislation that provides the legal framework for the transport of dangerous goods. Also know the basic documents for the transport of these in the different modes of transport. Know the practical application of ADR and its equivalence with IMDG, RID, IATA.

Know the applicable regulations and the problems of the transport of perishable goods

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

 The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer the prejudices of others.

Learning outcomes


Ability to identify problems that may arise related to the transport of dangerous and perishable goods, be they documentary, stowage, segregation, etc. Possibility of applying for the EC Certificate of Safety Adviser for the transport of dangerous goods.

Working methodology


- Theoretical sessions:

Through lectures based on the teacher's explanation, presentations in multimedia format that support the teacher's presentation and other electronic resources (in video or audio format).



- Guided learning:

Carrying out Workshops (group) in debate format with the aim of analyzing and discussing together in class a specific situation of the syllabus previously studied in class. In these sessions the student will prepare the available material through electronic format (video), newspaper news and case study in order to generate discussion in class with other classmates from the available material. The teacher will propose a guideline of analysis based on the concepts studied in class.

The aim of the activity is to learn to communicate, to work in a team and for the student to be able to analyze problems with rigorous criteria.



- Autonomous learning:

Carrying out Workshops (Individual) referring to the topic studied in class. Once the topic of the subject has been completed, there will be workshops with the aim of deepening and resolving doubts. The aim of this activity is for the student to prepare the subject through different tasks (resolution of theoretical questions and problems, analysis of case studies, critical reading of articles, etc.).

The purpose of this activity is for the student to develop skills to search for and analyze information, as well as autonomy to select appropriate resources and make decisions.

1) Introduction to the transport of dangerous goods. What is considered dangerous goods and what are its risks and accidents

2) Regulations on the transport of dangerous goods at local, national, European and international level. Specific regulations on explosive and radioactive materials.

3) Classification of dangerous goods, packaging, packaging and shipment thereof.

4) Stowage and segregation of dangerous goods.

5) Emergency and self-protection plans.

6) The figure of the Minister of Security

7) Regulation of the transport of perishable goods

8) Ways of transport and storage of perishable goods

Master classes where the content of the syllabus will be presented through presentations by the teacher

Workshops in group discussion format analyzing situations together

Individual workshops on the topic studied in the classroom

Evaluation system


Final exam: It consists of two parts: test-type questions (40%) and a problem (50%). Both parties must be approved in order to make the average, otherwise it is suspended.

  • Students who do not take the final exam will not be entitled to the resit exam
  • The mark of the resit exam does not average with the previous mark, so the maximum mark to be obtained, reached this point, is 5 points.
