The World Confederation of Physiotherapy (ER-WCPT) defines Evidence-Based Physiotherapy (EBE) as "a commitment to use the best available scientific evidence in making clinical decisions about the care of an individual and that integrates into their return both the knowledge acquired during professional practice and that obtained through systematic research in a certain field.
This concept, derived in turn from Evidence-Based Medicine, aims to integrate into the regular clinical practice of physiotherapists the theoretical-practical knowledge acquired through professional experience with current scientific evidence in relation to techniques and therapies used in physiotherapy and the specific preferences and characteristics of each patient, with the ultimate goal of providing our patients/subjects with the best possible care.
Throughout this subject we will delve deeper into the concept and meaning of the FBE, emphasizing especially its more scientific aspect, trying to integrate it into clinical reasoning and decision-making in physiotherapy through the critical reading of studies from current research and the debate and exchange of experiences and opinions.

MD1. Expository method or master class: to transmit knowledge and to activate the cognitive processes of the student by means of a unidirectional learning
MD2. Case study: acquiring learning through the analysis of real or simulated cases

MD4. Problem-based learning (PBL): developing active knowledge through problem solving

To pass the subject it is necessary to obtain one rating of 5/10 in the exam.
According to current regulations, only those students who have obtained a grade of suspense to the theoretical examination during the ordinary period.
