Description

In training in health sciences, it is considered essential to reflect on the concept of health beyond individual experience and the biomedical paradigm: the global concept of population health. What elements determine it and what strategies can we use to improve the health of the entire population. This subject focuses on developing the ability to offer care with a global and comprehensive vision that allows taking into account the needs of the person, the reality of the group to which they belong, their environment and the influence of the social context; therefore, the gender perspective is introduced in teaching, giving it special relevance in all the blocks, but in more detail in the community health and social epidemiology syllabus where differences due to sex and gender are addressed.

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make it possible to continue it in a non-face-to-face mode if necessary for reasons related to Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills specified in this teaching plan is ensured.

The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.
