A theoretical-practical subject is presented that allows the student to discover different concepts, methodologies, techniques or strategies in the area of the urogynecological patient.
The main objective of the subject is to acquire the basic knowledge of the different concepts and methods of approach that we currently have at our disposal, as well as for the student to be able to identify his role within a multidisciplinary team and achieve the following learning objectives:
- To know the anatomy and physiology involved in the pelvic floor.
- Identify the different uro-gine-coloproctological pathologies.
- Carry out an external assessment of the patient (not intracavitary).
- Design and carry out an action protocol based on the dysfunction presented in the subject.
- Carry out group work plans
- Design prevention strategies
- Search and application of validated tools for use at the clinical level.
The theoretical and practical content of this subject aims to provide a vision based on clinical evidence and supported by published scientific evidence.
This subject ensures that we communicate and work with respect for diversity, equity and gender equality.
This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.
The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.
- Identify the main treatments used in physiotherapy interventions for each of the clinical specialties.
- Classify them according to their effect and importance and establish order of priorities in their therapeutic application.
- Analyze the effects produced by the interventions. It evaluates benefits and risks and establishes an intervention criterion based on the priorities and effects pursued.
- Analyzes the patient's expectations for each of the clinical specialties with respect to their evolution, demands and needs.
- Establish the intervention protocol based on the joint negotiation between therapist and patient.
- Assess the physical and mental state of the patient. It determines the level of severity, dysfunctions, handicaps and limitations both at the individual and social level.
- Apply technologies for patient assessment. It incorporates new measurement instruments that facilitate the objectification of interventions. Participates in the validation of assessment tools for their incorporation into clinical practice.
- Carry out the specific physiotherapeutic diagnosis for each of the clinical specialties in order to determine the dysfunctions and disabilities that will require a specific physiotherapy intervention.
- Interact with other health and physical activity professionals to establish an intervention plan based on the specific clinical diagnoses of each of the professions
- Interact with medical professionals to increase therapeutic effectiveness. Establish joint intervention objectives.

The final grade of the student is the result of a continuous assessment and a final assessment. The pass of the subject is obtained with a grade equal to or higher than 5 points (out of 10 points) according to the following weighting table:

In order to pass the subject, it is mandatory to hand in all the parts (Work, practical assessment activity and theoretical exam) and get at least a 5/10 in all the assessment parts.
It will be mandatory to attend 80% of the classes, allowing a 20% non-attendance as long as it is justified
The final exam will include all of the content and will take place at the end of the subject, during the assessment period of the quarter in which it is taught and/or during the recovery period.
Recovery: Within the same course, there is the possibility of recovering skills not achieved during the subject. According to current regulations, you can only opt for recovery if the subject has been suspended. If the qualification is Not presented tat / da, you will not be able to opt for recovery.
Passed grades (with a minimum value of 5) obtained in the continuous assessment will be kept as part of the final grade of the subject, to preserve the criteria of the continuous assessment, maintaining the same weighting as in the first call

Individual activities and participation in class activities, group work is part of continuous assessment. It will be published in the moodle of the subject and will be related to the syllabus. Possibility of Obtaining Honorary Enrollment When the final grade of the subject is Excellent (from 9 to 10 points), the student may choose to obtain the honorary enrollment grade (MH ) at the discretion of the teacher.
According to UPF academic regulations, the maximum number of MHs possible in a subject is 5% in relation to the total number of students enrolled in it. The total or partial copy in any of the learning activities will mean a "Not Presented" in the subject, without option to present in the proof of recovery and without prejudice of the opening of a file for this reason
