Description


Know the different types of companies and activities that exist and are interrelated in marinas in general, and in the Maresme in particular.

 

 

Learning outcomes


SPECIFIC COMPETENCES

E.1. Establish business projects and nautical activities in the field of sports and recreational boating that allow the creation of new companies or the improvement of existing ones, adopting innovative and creative ideas for this.

E.2. Demonstrate ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, Catalan and English orally and in writing in the environment of companies and nautical activities in the field of sports and recreational nautical.

E.3. Show knowledge and skills for the coordination of the purchasing, supply, production and distribution departments of a product in any company or nautical sports activity, analyzing different types of techniques.

E.4. Adequately manage companies and nautical sports activities through specific computer applications.

E.5. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure, organization and management of marinas where a multitude of companies and nautical sports activities coexist.

E.6. Show knowledge about sports boats and their hiring as a charter modality either with or without a skipper and for different activities (walking, fishing, practices, etc.)

E.7. Identify the basic economic concepts, as well as the microeconomic and macroeconomic functioning of the companies and activities that take place in a marina in the Maresme area.

Working methodology


1.- Theoretical sessions

1.1.- Lectures: Lecture sessions based on the teacher's explanation in which all students enrolled in the subject attend.

1.2.- Conferences: Face-to-face or streaming sessions, both in university classrooms and within the framework of another institution, in which one or more specialists present their experiences or projects to students.

1.3.- Presentations: Multimedia formats that support face-to-face classes.

2.- Directed learning

2.1.- Debates and forums: Face-to-face or online conversations. The debates have a start and end date and are facilitated by the teacher. The participation, the content of the contributions and the correct observation of the rules of use will be taken into account.

2.2.- Case study: Dynamics that start from the study of a case. The objective is to contextualize the student in a specific situation. The teacher can propose different activities, both individually and in groups, among the students.

2.3.- Role playing: Dynamic simulation in which each student takes on a role specified by the teacher. As a "role", he will have access to specific information and must "play" his cards, according to the rules of the game, to solve or experience the reference situation of the dynamic.

3.- Autonomous or group learning

3.1.- Resolution of exercises: Non-presence activity dedicated to the resolution of practical exercises based on the data provided by the teacher.

3.2.- Critical reading of articles: The students start from a working hypothesis that they will develop, following the phases of the research methodology, among which the critical reading of articles.

3.3.- Tutorials: face-to-face and non-face-to-face. In the latter, the students will have telematic resources, such as electronic mail and resources on the ESCSET intranet.

3.4.- Group work: cooperative activity in which each group of students works on a particular topic. In the final phase they proceed to their presentation, opening a small debate.

Participation in planned activities, both inside and outside the classroom.

In order for this percentage to be taken into account, 80% of the sessions must be attended.

Work and oral presentation in teams.

Final exam. (Minimum grade required: 4)

In the event that the final exam grade is lower than 4, or the sum of the percentages does not reach a 5, you can opt for recovery, as long as you have taken the Final Exam.
