The core of the nursing profession is the care of people throughout the life process, in which periods of health will alternate with those of illness. At both times, nursing plays a basic role in caring for people.

Nursing, as a science, needs professionals with complete training that allows it to adapt to different situations, with the knowledge and skills that facilitate problem solving and decision making.

In the subject Nursing Care in the Adult Person, the nursing student must apply and relate both the knowledge and skills developed in other subjects, in order to expand knowledge in order to respond to health needs. of a changing society.

Problems that affect the person during their life trajectory, both in health and in the disease process, must be addressed by all health professionals and, in some areas, especially by nursing professionals.

In this subject the student will acquire skills that allow him to approach people from health to illness, understanding the purpose, operation and resources of the different levels of care.

Based on the prior knowledge of the most important pathological processes, nursing care is considered, from the detection of needs in the promotion, prevention and pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment of health problems that affect the person, the family and the community.

A system of quantitative (from 0 to 10) and qualitative (suspended, approved, notable, excellent, honorary registration) is used according to RD 1125/2003.

The total or partial copy in any of the learning activities means a "Not Presented" in the subject, without option to present in the proof of recovery and without prejudice of the opening of a file for this reason.

According to UPF regulations, students who have the option of retrieving the subject are those who have obtained a “suspended” grade, which are the only ones that can be modified in the recovery process.
