Description


Subject that exposes the role played by the transport of people and cruise tourism as well as making known its impacts.

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer the prejudices of others.

Learning outcomes


  • Undertake maritime business projects that allow the creation of new companies or the improvement of existing ones, applying innovative and creative ideas.
  • Show knowledge of the activities of management, direction, control, organization and planning of industries or operations related to the activities of transport and specifically maritime transport
  • Show knowledge about the elements that make up the maritime business and the variables that affect them, using the most advanced and innovative techniques
  • Show knowledge about the role of passenger transport and cruise tourism

Learning activities


Continuous assessment activities scheduled throughout the course (resolution of cases, preparation of readings, debates and classes, search for information, ...). It will be necessary to carry out at least 80% of the activities.

Evaluation system


The subject is divided into two modules and each has a weight of 50% of the final grade of the subject

MODULE I:

- Activities: Exhibitions. 50% of the module grade. Among the presentations, the oral presentation will be evaluated with 25% and the activity presented will be 25%.

- Exam: 50% of the mark of Module I.

MODULE II:

Work: The work will be with the same groups as the previous module and will have a weight of 30% of the grade for this Module II. The work is not recoverable.

- Exam: 60% of the mark of Module II.

- Participation and attendance: 10% of the grade of Module II (80% attendance of the total sessions).

 

In order to pass the subject, a minimum grade of 5 in each exam must be taken in each module. Otherwise, the suspended Module must be recovered.

In case of recovery, the note of the activities and work will be saved. As an important observation, a recovery student may not be presented if he / she has not taken the exam of the ordinary call.
