A theoretical and practical subject is presented. Where the main anatomical and physiological bases of the pelvic floor will be given. In order for the student to achieve the following learning objectives:
- To know the anatomy and physiology involved in the pelvic floor.
- Identify the different uro-gine-coloproctological pathologies.
- Carry out an optimal assessment of the patient
- Design and carry out an action protocol based on the dysfunction presented by the patient.
- Carry out group work plans
- Design prevention strategies
- Search and application of validated tools for use at the clinical level.
This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.
The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.
- Identifies the main treatments used in physiotherapy interventions for each of the clinical specialties.
- Classify them according to their effect and importance and establish order of priorities in their therapeutic application.
- Analyze the effects produced by the interventions. Evaluate benefits and risks and establish an intervention criterion based on the priorities and effects pursued.
- Analyzes the patient's expectations for each of the clinical specialties with respect to their evolution, demands and needs.
- Establishes the intervention protocol based on the joint negotiation between therapist and patient.
- Assess the patient's physical and mental condition. It determines the level of severity, dysfunctions, disabilities and limitations both individually and socially.
- Apply technologies for patient assessment. It incorporates new measuring instruments that facilitate the objectification of interventions. Participates in the validation of assessment tools for incorporation into clinical practice.
- Carry out the specific physiotherapeutic diagnosis for each of the clinical specialties in order to determine the dysfunctions and disabilities that will require a specific physiotherapy intervention.
- Interact with other health and physical activity professionals to base an intervention plan based on the specific clinical diagnoses of each of the professions.

The final grade of the student is the result of a continuous assessment and a final assessment. The pass of the subject is obtained with a grade equal to or higher than 5 points (out of 10 points) according to the following weighting table:

In order to pass the course, it is compulsory to hand in all the parts (Work, practical exam and theoretical exam) and to take at least 5/10 of both the practical and theoretical exam. The final exam will include all the contents and will be carried out at the end of the course, during the evaluation period of the term in which it is taught and / or during the recovery period. recovery Within the same course, there is the possibility of recovering skills not achieved during the course. In accordance with current regulations, you can only opt for recovery, if the subject has been suspended. If the qualification is not presented, it will not be possible to opt for recovery. The grades obtained in the continuous assessment will be kept as part of the final grade of the subject, both passed and not passed, to preserve the criteria of continuous assessment, maintaining the same weighting as in the first call.
All the assessment activities will have specific dates for completion and delivery, which will be communicated to the student at the beginning of the course through the Schedule and Guide of activities. Individual activities and participation in class activities Group work is part of the continuous assessment. It will be published in the moodle of the subject and will be related to the syllabus. Students' participation in the activities proposed in the face-to-face classes and in the classroom forums will be valued. Possibility of Obtaining Honorary Enrollment When the final grade of the subject is Excellent (from 9 to 10 points), the student may choose to obtain the honorary enrollment grade (MH ) at the discretion of the teacher.
According to UPF academic regulations, the maximum number of MHs possible in a subject is 5% in relation to the total number of students enrolled in it.
