CE22_Know the Spanish Health System. Identify the characteristics of the managerial function of nursing services and care management. Know and be able to apply group management techniques
CE23_Know the applicable legislation and the code of ethics and deontology of Spanish nursing, inspired by the European code of ethics and deontology of nursing. Provide care, guaranteeing the right to dignity, privacy, intimacy, confidentiality and decision-making capacity of the patient and family. Individualize the course considering age, gender, cultural differences, ethnicity, beliefs and values.

The subject of Management and Innovation in Nursing Care is a subject of the third year of the degree of Nursing in the category of compulsory subjects within the subject of Advanced Nursing Sciences.
The course offers the opportunity to work on the basics of administration, planning and organization of health services. També es descriuen i analitzen les bases legals del sistema sanitari espanyol i català, així com els aspectes de finançament, la despesa sanitària, l'eficiència, la qualitat, la cobertura i l'equitat. This vision will be expanded with the study of other health systems on an international scale. There is no shortage of innovation and gamification in this subject, which are part of both the curricular content and the possibilities they offer in healthcare practice. In this subject we also work on the importance of the concepts of quality and safety, the knowledge of different models and designs, as well as their repercussions in practice.
The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or towards teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer prejudice from others.

Thematic Unit 3. Development, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of the quality of care: Patient and healthcare organization safety policies. Quality management models. Safety culture in the healthcare environment. Error analysis and learning. Design of proposals for quality improvement. Quality and safety standards. Evaluation and continuous improvement of quality. Quality of care in nursing care.
Thematic Unit 4. Management function in nursing. Decision making. Leadership styles: Management models. Talent management. Management team. Leadership. Team leadership in health organizations. The conflict management process.
Thematic Unit 5. Innovation in Health and advanced nursing roles: Digital health as an innovation in care. Gamification. Advanced roles in nursing. Advanced Practice Nurse.

A system of quantitative (from 0 to 10) and qualitative (suspended, approved, notable, excellent, honorary registration) is used according to RD 1125/2003.
According to UPF regulations, students who have the option of retrieving the subject are those who have obtained a “suspended” grade, which are the only ones that can be modified in the recovery process.
