Introduction to Sports Management it is a taught subject in Catalan. The presentations and teaching resources provided during the course, as well as the recommended work materials, can be in any of the following languages: Catalan, Spanish i English.

Introduction to Sports Management is an essential subject for students who wish to understand the fundamentals of administration and management in the sports context. This subject combines theory and practice to provide a comprehensive view of the sector. Through 4 ECTS distributed over the course of a term, students will explore in a semi-face-to-face manner key aspects such as the strategic planning, event management, sports marketing or sponsorships, others.
The classes have presentations and teaching resources in Catalan, Spanish and English, facilitating access to a wide range of content and international perspectives. The main objective of the course is to train students in skills needed to manage sports organizations and projects, developing both their theoretical knowledge and their practical skills.
In addition to the theoretical sessions, the subject includes practical workshops, case studies and participation in collaborative projects, thus encouraging teamwork and critical thinking. Students will also learn about the current trends in sports management and how these influence the sector at a global level.
To take this subject, it is recommended to have a prior interest in the world of sports and a basic level of digital skills. This course prepares students to face the challenges of sports management with a solid foundation and innovative vision.
The subject combines activities and continuous assessment work, both individual and group, as well as the completion of assessment tests.
