Description


This subject will deal from the point of view of its importance in tourism, the importance of the correct direction and management of marinas,
as the capital not only of tourism but also of the socio-economy of port cities.

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured. The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

Understand the business fabric of a port of this nature.
Analyze existing business flows in marinas
Know the value generation activities and related activities of the life of a port

Working methodology


1.- Theoretical sessions
2 Conferences: broadcast online / streaming, 
3-Presentations: Multimedia formats that support face-to-face classes.
4- Guided learning
5.- Debates and forums: Online conversations. The debates have a start and end date and are energized by the teacher. Participation will be taken into account,
the content of the contributions and the correct observance of the rules of use.
6.- Case study: Dynamics that start from the study of a case. The goal is to contextualize the student in a particular situation. The teacher can propose
different activities, both individually and in groups, among students.
7.- Resolution of exercises: Non-contact activity dedicated to the resolution of practical exercises from the data provided by the teacher.
8.- Critical reading of articles: The students start from a hypothesis of work that will develop, following the phases of the methodology of investigation, between
which critical reading of articles.

- Tourist activity, marinas and nautical resorts: Current situation and future prospects
- Structure of the nautical and sports tourism market. Agents in the tourist and nautical-sports environment.
- Planning and management of marinas as a business activity
- Design and execution of economic and financial feasibility studies for new execution projects.
- Marina management models
- Marketing and its adaptation to marinas and nautical resorts as a product.

Learning activities


During the course, students will carry out practical activities of continuous evaluation that will allow to deepen in the knowledge acquired in the classes.
Most of the activities will be based on analysis of real cases with current data, with which, the precision in the handling of data, the academic criterion
and the depth of the analysis, will be values ​​to take into account during evaluation.

Evaluation system


The final grade will be the weighting of the grades of the activities carried out throughout the term. To pass the course, the final grade must be
greater than or equal to 5 points out of 10.
The evaluation will take into account the following aspects with the assessments indicated:
• Practical exercises of virtual evaluation and compulsory forums total: 3 points.
• A partial exam: 3 points
• A final exam, where the students' comprehension of the subjects of the subject will be evaluated: 4 points Important: It will be necessary that the note of the final exam is
greater than or equal to 5 points out of 10 to be able to average with the rest of the note.
Only the final exam can be retaken. Students who do not take the final exam will not be entitled to the resit exam.
