Description


Study of the supply chain, storage and distribution of any organization based on different proposals. Reflect on the different actors in the logistics chain, their participation and influence in the global process of goods movements.

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

Learning outcomes


Acquire the basic knowledge necessary to understand the operation of the supply chain of a company in its entirety to be able to successfully undertake the tasks related to the storage and distribution of any organization.

  • Develop skills to search, process and analyze information from various sources to apply it to issues to be resolved
  • Make decisions in the professional and personal field, applying knowledge and techniques acquired throughout the academic activity
  • Work in a team, actively participating in tasks and using the negotiation and planning tools learned

Master Class: Expository class sessions based on the teacher's explanation attended by all students enrolled in the subject.

Guided learning: Debates, forums and case studies in any case led by the teacher. They will have both written and oral charge.

  • Typology. Among other systems, EDI, Voice pickings, the influence of robots, etc. will be studied. 

Topic 3: Logistics Operators.

  • Definition.
  • Characteristics.
  • How to make the choice?
  • Incidence of ecommerce / mcommerce on logistics operators.

Item 4: Subcontracting of Distribution Logistics.

  • Own or external transport? Advantages and disadvantages.
  • Collaborative economy. Future?

Topic 5: Transport Management.

  • Which means of transport to choose?
  • Elements of Transport Management:
    • Supply Chain.

Evaluation system


It will consist of the continuous evaluation, with the following percentages:

10%: Class participation.

30%: Work and oral / written presentation of the different cases that can be studied throughout the course.

60%: Final exam.

In order to perform this weighting, you must pass the final exam with a minimum grade of 4, otherwise you must go directly to recovery.
