The subject will be taught in Spanish and Catalan and English terminology will be used. The teachers know all three languages and both assignments/exams and questions in class can be asked/answered in any of them.

As a professional in physical exercise, the students of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences are responsible for the prescription, assessment, programming and quantification of the loads of a training process.
The subject of "Theory and practice of sports training (I)" provides the basis for knowing the principles of adaptation, load, warm-up, resistance training, amplitude training of movement of the different types of sport.
This subject has methodological and digital resources to make it possible to continue it in a non-face-to-face mode if necessary. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

Qualification system (Royal Decree 1125/2003, of 5 September) that establishes the European system of credits and the system of qualifications to the university degrees of official character and validity in all the state territory:
0 - 4,9: Suspended (SS)
5,0 - 6,9: Approved (AP)
7,0 - 8,9: Notable (NT)
9,0 - 10: Excellent (SB)
The student's final grade is the result of a continuous assessment through different assessment activities. The subject is passed with a grade equal to or greater than 5 points (out of 10 points) according to the following weighting table:

IMPORTANT:
- Attendance at practical classes is not mandatory, but must be higher than 75% to add to the final grade.
- Attendance at practical classes is only valid for improving grades, not for passing the subject.
- Any grade between 0 and 10 can be obtained in the continuous assessment (group practice reports and individual questionnaires).
- Practice reports will only be counted if you have attended the practice in question.
- The exam cannot be suspended, a grade higher than 5/10 must be obtained.
- The final average of the subject must be higher than 5/10.
- If the final average is not higher than or equal to 5/10, the subject will be suspended.
Recovery
- In accordance with current regulations, you can only opt for recovery if the subject has been suspended. If the rating is "Not submitted", you will not be eligible for recovery.
- If the final average of the subject is lower than 5/10 and therefore it is suspended, it will have to be recovered.
- The following scenarios can occur:
- Final exam suspended: subject suspended regardless of average. The exam must be retaken with a grade higher than 5.
- Final exam passed and average suspended due to continuous assessment: The continuous assessment must be approved with the completion of an assignment. Extension, index, contents, etc. will be informed in due course.
- Suspended final average due to continuous assessment and suspended final exam: The continuous assessment must be approved with the completion of an assignment. Extension, index, contents, etc. will be informed in due course and the exam must be retaken with a grade greater than 5/10.

The total or partial copy in any of the learning activities will mean a "Not Presented" in the subject, without option to present in the proof of recovery and without prejudice of the opening of a file for this reason.
