This project aims to carry out dissemination, research and academic improvement activities within the framework of cybersecurity focused on healthcare environments. The project is funded by the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE) and is led by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and in collaboration with TecnoCampus, the i2CAT Foundation, the Delft University of Technology and the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia.

The main actions carried out by TecnoCampus are the following:

  • Development and presentation of a detailed research plan, including a comprehensive review of the state of the art on vulnerabilities in imaging systems, such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Radiological Information Systems (RIS).

  • Organization of events such as meetings, hackathons, conferences or round tables whose objective is to disseminate and share knowledge and promote collaborations between the different parties (nationally and internationally) involved in the application of cybersecurity in the healthcare sector, as well as promote synergies between the different stakeholders and improve the dissemination of the results of the chair.

  • Organization of a short film competition aimed at all students of Catalan universities whose objective is to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity to the non-specialized public. Through this action, greater learning will be achieved by students of the techniques related to the dissemination of cybersecurity content and at the same time new innovative audiovisual material aimed at the non-specialized public will be generated.

  • Organization of an award for the best Final Degree Project (TFG) presented in this field. The first edition of the Dr. Léonard Janer award, approved by Resolution of General Management No. 113/2025 of July 25, aims to recognize, with a prize of 1.000 euros, the best Final Degree Project (TFG) within the field of cybersecurity presented at the Tecnocampus University Center during the 2024-2025 academic year. You can consult the award rules at this link and the Resolution awarding the prize in this link This award is named after Professor Dr. Léonard Janer, as a tribute to his academic and human career in our institution.
