The subject complementary therapies applied in Nursing, shows and introduces the student to the study of natural therapies. This course offers the student a holistic view of the person, which is one of the basic aspects of nursing care today, the knowledge and techniques of natural therapies, which are additional resources that students will have for the care and care of patients within the autonomous role of nurses.
The course includes the study and knowledge of the different natural therapies that allows students to identify situations in which the application of these therapies can be useful for the development of care plans.
The subject is taught in the third term of the third year of the degree in which the student makes contact for the first time with natural therapies and therefore does not need previous requirements in the passing of other subjects by the student.

The subject is structured in plenary sessions, for the development of the theoretical contents. Seminars consisting of theoretical-practical classes and practical workshops on energy techniques. Group tutorials. Monitoring and supervision of assigned work, pedagogical guidance to improve learning.

Seminars: 4 Theoretical-practical classes, practical workshops on energy therapies and preparation for group work. Students will be divided into two groups while one or two groups attend the practice.
Seminar 1. Theoretical-practical class and practices of massage and therapeutic touch

Seminar 3. Theoretical-practical class of foot reflexology
Seminar 4. Theoretical-practical class of relaxation and breathing

The evaluation criteria of the activities will be presented in the first days of class and added to the virtual classroom where the students will be able to consult favoring the clarity and transparency of the credits.
It uses a system of quantitative (0-10) and qualitative qualification (suspended, approved, notable, excellent and honors enrollment) according to RD 1125/2003.
The evaluation of the generic competences will be carried out continuously during the different training activities.
The evaluation of the specific competences will be carried out by means of:
-A theoretical exam (syllabus for class and group work) of ten questions to be developed
-A group work with presentation and oral presentation
-An individual work
-Assistance, attitude and involvement of the student in all activities are taken into account.
In accordance with current regulations, you can only opt for recovery, if it has been suspended the subject. Recovery exam, in writing
