Description

The possibility of involving the student in the real work context by carrying out the External Internships, applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the degree under the supervision of a professional. During the internships, the CAFE student of the ESCST generates the transfer of the basic and transversal subjects to the professional field, in a progressive and guided way both by tutors of the internship reception center (or centers), as well as by ESCST's own tutors. This subject marks the end of the academic learning process and gives rise to professional life and the process of lifelong learning (Long Life Learning).

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

Learning outcomes

1. Apply the scientific method to the various fields of physical activity and sports sciences: methodological design, records, databases and statistical analysis.

2. Understand substantial problems in the sciences of physical activity and sport and propose hypotheses to design the empirical strategy for the theoretical demonstration, which would lead to the best resolution of the problems identified.

3. Incorporate new technologies for obtaining records and processing information and images into physical activity and sport: formulate projects that integrate the various operations.

4. Use English-specific terminology related to technology, information and statistics applied to physical activity and sport: data tables, graphs, diagrams, procedures, protocols ...

Working methodology

Depending on the subject and the type of subject, the following methods may be considered:

The teaching-learning process of the subject will be carried out combining face-to-face sessions of compulsory attendance with sessions of autonomous work by the student and virtual support.
The face-to-face sessions articulate both the master class and the methodologies that encourage the intellectual and motor participation of the student in the corresponding contents. It is assumed that the most formative methodological proposals are not unique or exclusive, so different methodologies will be proposed promoting the active and autonomous participation of students in their own training process at the cognitive, affective, social and motor level if necessary. , in both face-to-face and non-face-to-face activities.
In the non-contact activities, a work guide will be elaborated that will serve as support for the students, combined with the previous tutorial actions (face-to-face and / or virtual) and later that are considered necessary, in order to concretize and crystallize. the learnings pursued and to optimize the advantage and evaluation of the same.

The curriculum of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFE) addresses several possible areas of professional development of the graduate: teaching and education, leisure and recreation, sports and facilities management, sports performance and training, and physical activity for health.
