Presentation of the subject


The aim of this course is to explain the main elements for a good design and implementation of a campus network. The most important points that will be seen in this subject are:

  • Local area networks
  • Campus networks: features, design, devices and configurations
  • Wireless local area networks
  • Network management
  • Network automation

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or towards teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer prejudice from others.

Activities and evaluation system


The final grade is the weighted sum of the grades of the activities

  • Internships: 20%
  • Written test: 50%
  • Exercise delivery: 10%
  • Challenges: 20%

The written test must have a minimum grade of 5. If the grade is less than 5 then the final grade will be that of the written test.

There are mandatory attendance activities.

Only the written test can be retaken.

Any form of academic fraud will be sanctioned in accordance with the center's evaluation regulations. If signs of fraud are detected, including the improper use of generative artificial intelligence tools, the subject's teaching staff may call the student for an individual interview with the aim of verifying their authorship.
