This elective course introduces students to the principles and applications of the Circular Economy, combining a solid theoretical foundation with practical activities and the participation of experts and professionals in the sector. The aim is to provide students with tools and strategies that they can incorporate into their professional and academic future.
The course is structured in two complementary parts:
In a transversal way, students will carry out a applied project, tutored, which will allow them to put into practice the knowledge acquired and connect it with their academic or professional itinerary. In addition, the subject offers guidelines and resources to integrate the circular vision into the Final Degree Projects (TFG), with the possibility of opting for the Tecnocampus Circular TFG Awards.
Topic 1: Unsustainable future: starting context and motivators of change
Topic 2. Business resilience: sustainability and circular economy
Topic 3: Business resilience: Eco-design, the design of sustainable and circular products
Topic 4: Empowering change: Measure and communicate
Topic 5: Circular Economy applied to different business sectors
Topic 6: Empowering change: Innovation and new business models for circularity
Class attendance (10%)
With a minimum of 80% attendance required to be evaluated for the assignment.
Individual exam (40%)
Multiple-choice exam without notes that will allow the theoretical knowledge obtained by students to be evaluated.
Final work (50%)
During the second part of the course, the final project will be carried out in groups, which will have to be defended at the end of the subject.
It should be noted that any form of academic fraud will be sanctioned in accordance with the center's assessment regulations. If signs of fraud are detected, including the improper use of generative artificial intelligence tools, the subject's teaching staff may call the student for an individual interview with the aim of verifying their authorship.
