The subject consists of a general and theoretical study of passenger transport and tourism in its different types, taking into account the transport infrastructure of the countries, the safety and the economic and social conditions of the same for the development of transport; as well as the evolution of the different types of transport and the policies that affect it in different tourist destinations. Some disruptions in transport and tourism and concepts such as “road rage”; real travel time; Globalization of Transport; Technology applied to transport, among others, are also studied.

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free from sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, whether towards students or teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer prejudice from others.

Topic 5. Mass Tourism and modes of transport used to reach these places.

Topic 8. Transport by Railway/Train. Analysis of infrastructures and the road network. Technological innovations (high speed and magnetic levitation trains). Liberalization process and free competition. Competition with air transport. Tourist trains
Topic 9. Road Transport
Topic 10.- Air Transport 1: Commercial aviation; International organizations (IATA, ICAO); agreements or conventions in the Air Transport (Warsaw, Chicago, Montreal). Evolution of aircraft types and aviation. Alternative fuels. Liberalization of transport.
Topic 11: Air Transport 2: Maritime Accident Investigation Agency; Aena; Alliances;

The Final grade will be composed of Continuous Assessment and a Final Exam as detailed below:

                                                                                    50%: Continuous Assessment:
• 25% Quiz
• 15% Overall work of the subject. Group assessment. It will consist of carrying out a work where the knowledge on the topics seen in the subject is applied. It will be developed as the theoretical topics are given.
• 10% oral presentation. If this activity is missed, 10% of the grade is lost. IT IS NOT RECOVERABLE (under any justification), since public oral expression is evaluated.

                                                             50%: Multiple choice final exam (there may be open questions)
• You must obtain a minimum of 5 points in the Final Exam to pass the Midterm.

                                                                                                                     Recovery.

• If the student has failed the Final Exam or the Final Grade, they can take the Remedial Exam. It is essential to have attended the final exam in order to take the remedial exam.

Any form of academic fraud will be sanctioned in accordance with the center's assessment regulations. If signs of fraud are detected, including the improper use of generative artificial intelligence tools, the subject's teaching staff may call the student for an individual interview with the aim of verifying their authorship.
