What are you looking for?
This project is aimed at young people with a certificate of mental disability, preferably intellectual, with a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, who are in the Youth Guarantee and who want to join the labor market. The profile we are targeting is young people who have finished ordinary or adapted schooling and who need a specific resource to continue their training towards the world of work, since they either do not have a defined job profile or have little knowledge of the labor market or need to improve the habits and skills that will allow them to access a job. And the fact is that currently people with intellectual disabilities have many limitations when it comes to accessing university-level training activities, since they do not exist in our territory of intervention. In addition, there are often no adapted resources or training programs, with methodologies and professionals prepared and trained to accompany them on this training and experiential journey.
This project is carried out in collaboration with the Maresme Foundation, a non-profit social initiative entity that promotes and drives social inclusion and the improvement of the quality of life of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) in the Maresme region and their families.
The following objectives are proposed;
OGeneral objectives:
• Expand the educational offer of university studies and adapt it to the group of young people with intellectual disabilities in order to improve their academic training, their skills and abilities and the degree of job integration of this group.
• Promote plurality in the university, developing a normalization experience within the Tecnocampus community of people with intellectual disabilities. When we talk about the Tecnocampus community we are not only talking about the rest of the university students, but also about the employees of the entity and the companies housed in the spaces of the business park.
• Raise awareness about the importance of developing an inclusive university education.
Specific objectives:
• Develop a quality university training program for people with disabilities that is innovative and a reference for other universities and educational centers. This program will be based on the differential values of Tecnocampus' educational offer, which are entrepreneurship and digital culture.
• Improve the personal autonomy of students in the new program, as well as the development of new skills and specific competencies.
• Accredit academic training that fosters the personal and professional confidence of the program's students and facilitates their labor market integration.
The total amount of the project is €68.000, of which €60.000 is contributed by the ONCE Foundation and the European Social Fund+ 2021-2027.
